Kaleidoscope Kit to make Clarity Aeroscope Airplaine Kaleidoscope

This kit is well worth the price though glass is not included. You should easily be able to use scrap glass. The money is in the plans and parts. So well done! Was going to do this as a project with my 9 year old grandson who has made sun catchers. But this is way beyond and is for older teens and adults. My grandson did cut out the glass pieces and foil them and soldered the big areas, but the more complex parts were done by me. It is a beautiful plane when finished and so different than other stained glass projects kids will enjoy. The kaleidoscope part is an added bonus. Since you can use these plans many times after finding the parts to go with it, I think it's a great value and so well done.

A friend loves and collects kaleidoscopes, this one was a gift to her for Christmas. Because I don't know what I'm doing, I didn't realize that everything needed is not in the package so she's waiting to purchase what it takes to build it. otherwise she loves it but it isn't assembled yet.

Its clear all the bad reviews are from people who did not read about or understand what this item is. This is for already established stained glass artists. You cannot make this item if you do not already make stained glass and have the supplies and skill to do so. This is a stained glass kaleidoscope plane parts kit. So no glass, glass cutter, cutting oil, copper foil, glass grinder, solder, soldering iron, flux or human skills are included. If you are not a glass artist already this is most likely not the kit for you. If you insist, also purchase a beginner stained glass artist kit that will have all those things included. I like the plans but not having worked with glass it will be a challenging project. Looking forward to it. The kit is just the beginning as you have to purchase materials like glass and solder material plus equipment to cut glass separate.

Instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Comes with all the accessories you need to complete the aero scope. **You will need to purchase your glass, foil, and soldering supplies separately**, but you probably have them on hand if you do stained glass work.Great pattern.

This product should clearly state and then reconfirm is NOT a kit, it is a template with instructions on how to make from scratch. Not kid friendly and the materials that you will need to provide are specialty materials. NOT Happy with this item.

First stained glass project I did and it was easy to follow the instructions to get a beautiful plane. Great conversation piece.

Contains everything needed to make a stained glass biplane kaleidoscope except the glass. The stained glass will add about another $10 or so to the project. Thought about trying to build it without a kit but finding all the small brass rods and mirrors and wheels was harder than it seemed! I And having patterns for the glass pieces is very helpful. I would recommend this kit.
