YAKIMACoreBar Aerodynamic Crossbars for Roof Rack Systems, Set of 2

My bars shipped with 3 driver side end caps and only one passenger side. There's no way for Amazon to send me just a single replacement end cap and since the whole system was installed on my car before I realized it (end caps are the last step) it's not worth it to spend the time removing the roof rack. I've contacted Yakima customer support and will report back if they are any help, but they initially refer you back to the retailer so I'm not holding my breath.UPDATE - I’m upping my review to 4 stars after the great customer service from Yakima. I emailed their warranty department and explained the issue. They responded in a couple hours that replacement caps were in the mail. I received them via FedEx 3 days later.

I'm using these to haul around a 75lb Crescent LiteTackle kayak, which is maybe 80-85 lbs given that I leave some items rigged and there might be a little water on board when I load up after a paddle. The bars flex almost imperceptibly under the load, nothing of concern. There is some wind noise with these bars above 40 mph or so. I don't have any other crossbars to compare them to, so I don't know if it is more, less, or the same as other bar options. I have put a wind fairing on and that has eliminated wind noise.

The Yakima 50" CoreBar is a very solid product! There is really not much to say about these bars but they are very light and strong. There is some noticeable wind noise produced from them but they are fairly aerodynamic which helps decrease the noise. I have them installed on a 2008 Subaru Outback and they are just right for that vehicle.

The Corebars arrived with a two defective seats. The tower to which the corebar seat attaches has a screw that must screw into the seat. The seat has the female end. Two of the four seats had defective threads in the seat, so the screws could not be screwed all the way in. Huge disappointment from what is usually a quality manufacturer. Had to order replacement parts that cost $45 with shipping.

These are very strong crossbars. Would have given them a 5 star but they came with 3 right and 1 left end cap. Called Yakima and they sent me out a new set so no worries there. They can be cut down to your specific size if you wish to do so... I used a skill saw with a metal cutting blade, easy and smooth cutting. Didn't even hurt the plastic/rubber coating.

Guess the blame falls on me. Didn't realize that to get everything needled was north of $500. Frigging outrageous! Still haven't bought the other 2 items needed to make it functional.

Installed these on a 2015 Mazda3 hatchback, and I'm thrilled I picked these over the oem bars. I installed them with the landing pad, skyline towers, and windshield. The yakima system is expensive but you get what you pay for.Cons:The installation was a bit of a pain and the directions could have been better.Pros:Once installed this thing was solid. It's clearly not going anywhere. There is no flex, rattle or movement of any kind.I didn't try without the windshield but with it the wind noise is minimal if any.Doesn't interfere with the sunroof at all.

This bar worked great for hauling my kayak and canoe. It is very strong and doesn't flex under the weight. It creates minimal wind noise on my Toyota Tacoma PreRunner, but anything you put up there will create some noise. Overall it is a great bar

what can I say, it's Yakima and it's good, I bought 60" because it was cheper and cut to 50" .Worked for me perfect.
