Didn’t last
I don’t suggest purchasing these. The first one stopped working after 5 months and the 2nd one that was my back up just blew after a little over 5 months of use as well

Can heat up to 110 degrees!
I had to separate one of my baby garters to help the other baby grow better (temporarily) this enclosure is nowhere large enough to grow any reptile long term), and this lamp is great for any last minute hospital tanks or just an enclosure you set up for your little cold blooded creature! The dial makes sure you don’t overheat your little frend and is easily adjustable. The plastic around the bulb itself makes a slight burning dent once you turn it on but it’s very mild. I would recommend! This is a steal for the price!

Be aware!
These lamps work pretty well, no problems there, but…the bulbs that these come with state that they are UVA/UVB bulbs, and they are in fact NOT. Tested them and nothing other than a heating element. Just a heads up.

Fixtures are nice, but they need to stop selling the bulbs as UVB.
The fixtures are of good quality and seem like they will hold up over time. The flexible rods hold shape fairly well, however there seems to be a couple of spots which don’t, so you will have to fiddle with the shape to get it to stay. The clips are somewhat of a pain to get attached to some surfaces, like the edge of a glass aquarium. They are designed to clip to a surface which is flat on both sides and doesn’t contain any lip, like you get with the edge of the black plastic piece around a glass aquarium. Anyway, once you work around that problem, they seem to hold well. The problem with these lights are the bulbs. I purchased these for turtle hatchling. I have been raising a full size iguana for 10 years, so I am quite familiar with basking and UVA/UVB requirements of reptiles. From a basking perspective, these lights put off some serious heat given they are halogen, so be prepared to have to turn them down a bit or push them back further from the reptile. The real issue is the company needs to stop selling these as a source of UVB. Full sun is somewhere in the range of 100-200uW/cm² and light shade or early morning sun is 50-100uW/cm². Now technically this light does produce UVB, but even with the Solarmeter almost touching the bulb you are looking at about 4-5uW/cm², which isn’t even close to getting you what you need. And you’ll likely have to turn you light down or move it further away, which means 0uW/cm², so no UVB for your little friend.

Almost burned my house down!
The lamp worked great while it worked. I used it for my 2 geckos. I believe I got the 25w variety. It was a simple solution to the cold weather. After 3 months it failed in the worst way. Luckily I was home and smelled the very distinct smell of a solid state device burning. I narrowed it down to one of the two lamps. When I took the dimmer apart, I found shoddy soldering and a thyristor that caught fire and broke the soldering connection on the bottom side of the PCB.If you want to use these, make sure nothing readily flammable is near by!!

Fixture came defective
This product came defective. Cords have cuts which causes item to flicker or not work at all.
