KEEN Monica MJ CNX Shoe (Little Kid/Big Kid)

Both my daughters love this shoe--so much that I purchased them in 4 sizes/colors since they were on sale and wanted to make they'd have them in the next size as well. Great for active kids--my girls love to climb and these have gone up spider climbs, walls, etc... with excellent grip. They're not too heavy; sporty but cute. They do smell if worn without socks for extended periods of time--but that might be an issue with my oldest as she has the same problem with her Keen sandals (my younger one doesn't have that problem thus far, but her sister wears her almost daily). They've held up well thus far after 3 months of use.

I got two pairs of these shoes - one for myself (I typically wear a women's size 7 in athletic shoes - I ordered a big kids size five and they fit perfectly) and a second pair for my daughter. My daughter doesn't really like typical sneakers, but these passed her "cuteness" test, so that was a plus. I got them for a week-long international trip, and we didn't have time to break them in. We literally wore them to the airport...which could have been a disaster. Instead, they turned into one of the best decisions I made for the trip. Lol. We wore them all day, every day while we were abroad with no problems. They're lightweight, and the velcro makes them easy to take on and off - an added bonus I didn't originally really think about. We went to Japan, where we were constantly taking our shoes off to go inside, and the velcro really saved the day! We wore them without socks, but put odor eaters in them, which added an extra layer of padding, absorbed the sweat and kept our feet from stinking. I'm really enamored with these shoes. My daughter has even continued to wear them after our trip, which is saying a lot because she very rarely chooses to wear sneakers. My only regret is that I didn't buy a second pair when they were on sale!

These are great for playful kids. My daughter has been wearing these for about five months now and they look basically new. She loves the pink.
