Electric Grill Heating Element

It seems these heating units seem to last about 15 months! But then we use our electric grill almost daily! Each of the replacement heating units haven't seemed to heat up as hot as the original? We adjust our grilling accordingly.

We had a grease fire in our Weber Q1400 electric grill, and it damaged the original heater element...wouldn't work after the fire. I purchased this one, and it fit in easily and works great.

My experience is same as KC. It seemed good, lasted almost exactly a year with light use and yesterday shorted out. Will replace with one from Weber. More expensive but hoping it’s better quality and it does come with a two-year warranty. Received good help and a discount from Weber online.

I have used it for several months and it is still working great. Great price too. I’m adding an update— it worked great, until it didn’t. It quit suddenly after almost a year of occasional use.

I had a Q 240 that started tripping the GFCI outlet. I've had this grill since 2013 and, judging by others comments as I looked into it, I'm fortunate to have had the heating element last this long. Anyway, either due to an extended fat flareup I had or perhaps due merely to age, the old original one gave out. I've just installed this and it seems to heat up without tripping the breaker. I'll update the review once I've cooked on it a few times if there's more to say. BTW, I think the guy who said this is wrong: "This causes the controller to not fully seat as normal — it sticks out about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. I don’t see any impact on the unit, but they just didn’t take enough care to mount the bracket in exactly the right place." He's correct in that the manufacturing of the unit wasn't as precise as the original and so there are some issues getting it seated. But you can seat it as normal. I bolted it on, and then when I went to push the controller back on I had to work very hard to get it to seat all the way, but eventually it did go all the way. In fact it was so difficult that I stopped and checked myself against the original I had just removed, and when I found that also required some additional force, I then just went for it with and was able to get it seated all the way. So, you can seat it all the way. (Also: I wouldn't want to run it with it not seated all the way; that seems like a hazard to me.)

Just what my Weber electric grill needed to work again! Works just like new. Thought I had to buy a new grill. Would recommend to anyone. Very easy to install also.

Lasted little over year with very light use. Element shorted out. No resistance when tested. No physical damage.

Fixed my Weber

Comprei a resistência da Churrasqueira elétrica WEBER Q1400. No entanto, não me parece igual a original, pois (1) o calor irradiado não me parece tão forte como a original, (2) ela não fica vermelha como a original e, talvez por isso não irradia tanto calor, (3) Minha voltagem é 127V e comprei a resistência para essa voltagem, no entanto a embalagem do produto ou informações contida na embalagem não cita voltagem da resistência. Assim fica difícil saber se a a resistência entregue é a que comprei.
