DAE PVM-50 1/2” Plastic Positive Displacement Water Meter, Measuring in Gallons + Couplings

Looks and feels like it's built to last the lifetime of the house. It works perfectly, I don't know what else to say...

Update: As soon as I messaged them they sent the adapters and I received a follow up phone call to make sure everything was all right. Very good customer service. Changed rating to 4 stars (only because not installed yet, or would have been 5 stars). Im sure it will work fine or they will make it right.I can recommend this seller as reliable.Item shown has an adapter at each end that threads onto the meter body and possibly mates with 3/4 NPT. Item I received had no adapters....just the threads on the meter body. Went through all the fittings at plumbing supply store....none thread onto the threads on the meter (not NPT, straight 3/4, garden hose or any other thread standard.Awaiting contact about sending me adapters or I will return item,Got back to me in 1 day...shipping adapters....will use and if all ok will change rating.

I have an inground pool. I have an Automatic Top-off System installed on it so I wanted to keep track of the amount of water being put in it each week. Once I establish an average amount then I can have a general idea as to what is normal and what is excessive. This will help decide if I may have a leak somewhere and get it repaired promptly. I couldn't use a horizontal type or one that was an vertical upflow only. This one although mounted upside down still allowed me to see the counter.

This product is well made yet inexpensive, if you need to easily know how much water you are using. The digits are clear and easy to read, and it seems to be very accurate. The product information isn't quite accurate, but it worked well for our purpose. Because it has a check valve, water can't flow through it both ways. With the digits upright (black cover to the top), water can enter at the bottom and exit at the top, which was perfect for us. I am assuming that the meter could be used horizontally, but vertically seems best. Just remember that the water exits at the end where the black cover and digits are.

Bought two. Work well, but both have now failed at the plastic threaded fittings due to movement of attached hoses as users used the hoses. Started with leaks, eventually could not tighten further, added metal adapter to replace reducer from meter to hose fitting, but that threaded connection right at the meter body has now failed as threads were damaged. Brass fittings would have prevented the problem.Recommend only if mounted in a rigid pipe line, or rigid supports are added at both ends of meter.

This was a perfect inexpensive solution for my project. There are six zones on my sprinkler system covering an acre. I wanted to know if the zones were handling equal flows, or if some were trying to flow more than others. I ran each zone for 5 to 10 minutes to fill the line then took a reading and then another 10 minutes later. simple math gave me the numbers and using some poly tube and "T"s" to cross connect, all the zones are running about the same gallons per min. now.

Installed just fine. Seems to work well. Only problem is that the meter makes a pulsating noise while running. Is that normal?

This water flow meter seems to be well built and works great. Just wish I could get one in metric. (pulse per liter)
