Protects well and the added moisturizer is nice without feeling greasy. Its a level 2 on the toxicity scale which is not nearly as bad as most of the other drugstore brands (even other banana boat options), but if it was a level 1 I would give it 5 stars. By far the best low-cost drugstore option as far as cost, protection and toxicity concerns go.

I have been using this product for many years and satisfied with it. What I don't like is the new containers. I usually end up with a lot of cream still in the bottom and sides of the bottle because it's hard to get it out.

Let me start by saying I hate sunscreens. They're goopy, sticky and leave a film layer on your skin that make you look pale goth chick from the early 2000's. Sometimes they smell.Okay, so I'm middle aged and facing a few reality facts. One is, I'm not getting any younger, and another is my skin is drying out. I'm lucky enough to look about 10 years younger than I am, but in the last year or so, I've been getting those little dry age (liver) spots on my arms, so I'm taking evasive action now. First off, I stared using Dove Winter Care Beauty Bars (not just for winter!) for my shower, which I got here on Amazon, and that is the first step towards softer, more hydrated skin. Then I got CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, again on this site, because of the reviews. The last thing to round out my spree was this Banana Boat Hydrating Sunscreen. Wow, this is not how I remember Banana Boat. My 1st experience with this company was a smelly products. This stuff is clearly aimed at hydrating. It's not thick, goes on easily, immediately hydrates, and with an SPF of 30, I have everything I need.I've only used this for about 3 days, but it's already doing its job. 5-stars for this great product. Get protected from the sun and from dry skin!

I put sunscreen on every day and didn't want to spend a lot of money. The lotion is not thick and I can use it under makeup, plus it smells nice - not like a typical sunscreen. Very pleased.

I like this sunscreen because it's not greasy at all, and it hydrates your skin. However, if you are in the sun for a long period of time, this might not prevent you from burning. It's better for a couple of hours than days of camping at a festival. I was definitely burned.

My favorite sunscreen. If you are the type of person researching the safety of chemicals in sunscreens and you just cannot get on board with mineral sunscreen, then this is the one for you. I review the annual sunscreen report published that studies the dangerous chemicals found in sunscreens. The best ratings are all mineral sunscreens. But this traditional sunscreen has the best rating of all traditional style sunscreens.It rubs on easy, is water resistant and works great. It's also easy to reapply over and over throughout the day on those sunny vacation days.I've used this in Hawaii, Florida, the Caribbean, and California. When used properly, we have not had sun burns, or unhappy kids.

DO NOT BUY THIS! I purchased this product under recommendation from a blog I follow. I don't know if the sunscreen was expired or if it just doesn't work. I applied AND reapplied it on myself, my 3 year old, and my sister and we all FRIED. I feel terrible that my little guy has to experience a sunburn at such a young age.

This product does a good job of shielding my skin from sunburn. absorbs well and can be worn under or over your foundation; I wear mine under unless I forget. It has a low toxicity rating at the EWG website AND it makes my skin feel good due to its moisturizer. It is truly worth the money! Be careful, though, as each product from any manufacturer has different chemicals and not all products are safe--the 50 of this particular sunscreen has a very different toxicity rating than the 30, and from my experience all sprays have more risk.
