This cage is easy to assemble and all the parts are very high quality. The wooden handle feels and looks very nice as well. I attached the Camvate cage to my Panasonic G85 using the smaller of the two posts that are included. It fits very well and feels extremely secure. See my Pros and Cons points below:Pros:* Excellent quality. Even at twice the price, this would be a good value.* Good Ergonomics. The cage handles feel nice and sturdy and offer many different mounting solutions.* Ease of Use. The cage was quite simple to attach to my G85. It took about 10 minutes.* Expand-ability. This cage has multiple locations to add accessories to.* Looks. The Camvate cage has a great finish that feels and looks durable. The screws that it comes with also seem to be high quality. The wooden handle has a nice finish and feel.Cons:* The screw that attaches to the camera base does not have a flip up tab so you will need use a screwdriver or a coin. This is literally the only negative thing that I can find with this cage.Overall, the Camvate Universal Camera Cage is highly recommended!

I am a videographer and I saw this cage and ya know, decided to try it out. WOW! So glad I bought this! I have a Canon EOS Rebel SL3 and the cage works so well with it! The cage has so many ways to customize. Everything comes apart by screws and you can mix and match with other products by Camvate, as well as SmallRig to make the cage of your dreams! You are able to mount basically anything to the cage and make it suit the needs of whatever you are doing! Great material as well as Ease of Use. It is so worth the money! (The handle does come loose here and there but you just need to tighten it and it sticks back into place)

As a professional filmmaker, I can say this thing is fantastic.I use it with my GH4 and it fits pretty well.. There is a little bit of space between the top of the GH4 and the bottom of the top rail. Love how I can access the card slot, battery door and other inputs without any issue. Solid unit, machined metal (aluminum?).. very well made. Comes with a bag of screws, bolts and washers.. the cheese plate on top is awesome. The side handle is a great addition and i find myself using it while shooting handheld or on a monopod for extra stability. Yes it's real wood.. pretty comfortable. It does get loose on occasion but the knurled knobs are nice for a quick tighten or un-tighten. Word of wisdom.. the bottom 1/4 20 camera mounting screw does tend to back itself out of the base on occasion. Sometimes I'll find it laying in the bottom of my bag. I'd either take it off after every use or put a piece of tape over it to prevent loss.

Really like the workmanship on this product. Well built and is loaded with a lot of options for mounting. I'll be using it with a variety of gear, from field monitors to rails, sliders, focus finders. It's a solid fit to my 5d Mkiii, and it's ridden with threaded holes to mount just about anything to it. I researched a lot of grips and found this one suited what I was looking for, despite having no reviews. I also liked that the left grip matched parallel to the right camera body grip.The only gripes I had with it were:- I wish it came with some directions or any images to refer to to assemble- It would've been nice to have it pre-assembled in the box, though I understand it's designed for different camera bodies. That's where directions would be nice, I have a few pieces left over and am not absolutely positive what I need to do with them. Very well packaged, with just about every piece in its own bag.- When I say that it's a *solid* fit, it really is. There's no way that a camera body should ever fall out of this - it mounts through the tripod mount in the bottom and also through the cold shoe. It took me a little bit to figure it out exactly (just a couple more minutes than I liked) but again, that's where the directions would've been helpful. With that said, it's a little time consuming to mount and remove.Overall, I'm pretty happy with the purchase and hope that it serves me well in the multitude of ways I plan.

Grip is comfortable, weight not heavy light easily to move around with. Quality top not and no issue with the installation. If you’re new to photography I recommend.
