Brilliant and so very moving. Superb directing, acting and music

Gripping film. The music was amazing at keeping the tension. We should know the history of this based on true life story.

Excellent work by Christopher Nolan, the directing and storytelling from different time perspectives is very clever, then it all comes together as the film gathers pace. Soundtrack by Hans Zimmer is exceptional as usual and really adds to the atmosphere of the action on screen. You really feel the desperation of the men on that beach, and recognition of the small boats that answered the call to cross the Channel and help evacuate so many lives.

So many well known actors show up throughout the film, The story of Dunkirk is told through the eyes of battleworn soldier, tense action and its now become a film i could watch time and time again, 10/10, would recommend this film!

Disappointing. Long Winded in the Wrong Areas, focused too much on the sea evacuation rather than the more exciting, holding action, beach defence and sacrifice of the thousands of men that made the evacuation happen. For example the 4000 men that held the port of Calais to lure the Germans away from the beach at Dunkirk, or the French Army that helped Hold back the Germans from attacking Dunkirk beach itself. Yes the Evacuation was a miracle that so many got away on all sorts of naval and private civilian ships and boats, but the movie only really concentrates on this and some small aerial battle and not the major action behind the front lines.
