TV Remote Control BN59-01199F by Samsung

I bought the Samsung TV Remote Control BN59-01199F after my original remote was destroyed by my dog, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m very happy with this remote! It works perfectly with my Samsung TV and paired right away without any issues. The buttons are responsive and easy to use, and it feels comfortable in the hand. It’s exactly like the original that came with my TV, so there was no learning curve. A great replacement at a good price.

These work better than the newer models! I had the newer, sleeker looking remotes for my Samsung TVs. Over time, those became less and less reliable, the tv seemed to not receive any signal, so it felt like I was constantly pressing hard on the buttons. The TV would respond slowly or after I press down really hard, which was all frustrating. I finally ordered these units which work like a charm. No need to press the buttons hard, my TV responds immediately.

Great remote, super responsive and works well.

We have 3 Samsung TVS, two of them are older models. I purchased one here on Amazon and it failed after just a few months. We figured that one with the Samsung name would be more reliable, for that, only time will tell. But, for now, this one works on all three tvs, including the one purchased here on Amazon, which is a Hospitality TV. This one works on all three. It even can access the Hotel Menu Mode. On the remote supplied with the tv, it doesn't have the guide button as the other remotes do. Instead of guide, it says content, and it doesn't do anything in Standalone Mode. With this remote the guide button under the channel button, it works, bringing up the channel list showing an hour and a half, and the ability to move right and look at times later in the day. You can't schedule a program like with a smart tv, but hopefully Samsung will correct that deficiency in the future. So this remote is better for the new tv than the one that came with it. There is a guide button under the mute button on the Hospitality TV, but it only shows what's on now. Hopefully Samsung contracts with better manufacturers in the making of this remote, and it lasts.

The remote control in question turned out to be very user friendly and posed no difficulties to remotely control one's Samsung TV. The controls on the remote control are virtually self-explanatory.
