I have now purchased THREE of these great little gadgets because I keep gifting mine to foodie friends! Super sturdy and super duper sharp, it makes short order of any vegetable I put in its path. I looked at all the other gizmos for making zoodles, but I like this one for the price and the fact that it takes up very little space in my kitchen drawer. And this is a multi-tasker: it peels, slices, juliennes, and has 2 different do-hickies to scoop out potato eyes or other pesky vegetation imperfections. Great product. Great seller.

It does the trick.
In my 66 years of life I have gone through a number of vegetabel peelers. Often they get lost in the far corner of a drawer because they just dont work very well. But now that I am retired I find myself cooking much more. Needed a vegetable peeler so I started looking and looking. Always hesitant to select one. Well, I finally decided to take a chance on this beauty. It was priced right. And, drum roll, really performed well. I used it initially on a cucumber. Since I have used it on potatoes, carrots, eggplant and parsnips.Love it. Wish I had not waited so long. It's weight is good, sharp blades. I really cant see a negative. Perhaps I should have goven it five stars. Somehow I dont think this one will get lost in he back of my drawer!

very good looking peeler
This is a well made, very good looking peeler. It is very sharp and works great...My reason for the 3 star rating is because I can't get used to it. I am much more comfortable using the old fashioned potato peeler...I gave this peeler to my sister and she loves it....

Works great, comfortable to use for me
I find this to be comfortable to use. I would usually drop a small or awkward shaped potato with a conventional peeler but I don't seem to with this one. As everyone else says, the julienne side works amazing which was one of the reasons I bought this.I find this peeler works best when peeling away from yourself. Basically what I mean is that you hold the vegetable (either in your hand or on a flat surface) and while holding the peeler upside down between your thumb and forefinger you drag it across the vegetable away from your body. There is much less of a chance of catching your finger that way. Even doing small potatoes in your hand seems to work well this way.The finish is nice, the handle is comfortable and there are 2 little cutting blades on the side for cleaning out the eyes from the potatoes. As others have stated, it does leave a series of lines down your vegetable on the smooth cutting side but that doesn't bother me. I kinda like it on my cucumbers for some weird reason.

Love the rough surface it created for easy grabbing of vegetable without slipping.
Well, the rivet came off and now I can not peel. Checking with customer service and no one answers. What I like the most about this peeler are:- very sharp and easy to peel- most important is that the peel as serrated edge. This means after peel the skin, the vegetable has rough surface that is easy to grab for further knife cutting such as slide and dice without slipping.- Of course, the best part is to prepare Juliane slice of cheese or root vegetable for salad.- It is made of stainless steel and last forever.- have dual blades for peeling in both directions for faster result. The only thing I don't like is the sharp teeth for cleaning - can't use sponge, and have have to use brush to clean it. Best is to rinse it immediately after peeling it peel won't dry out and stick to it.

Works great but extremely hard to clean
The peeler works great, but the julienne side is definitely to be desired. Food gets stuck under the julienne teeth; even with a swiss army knife tweezer the stuck-on food is hard to pull out. I kept it only because the peeler side is good and makes very pretty texture on the food like carrots.I believe that this design defect can be changed: Just turn the julienne teeth metal piece 180 degrees and solder/mount it on the frame. This way the food will not be stuck under the julienne teeth. Designer: If you like my suggestion and actually implement it, I would appreciate it if you can send me a replacement.

Fantastic Kitchen tool
This is by far the best peeler I have used. Because it is extremely sharp, it peels all vegetable skins like a dream. You don't need to press hard at all. I use the Julienne peeler to make zucchini noodles and to prep carrots, daikon (Asian radish), and zucchini to make bibimbap. I also love the little metal loops on the side of the peeler for taking out potato eyes and other little nicks or imperfections on the vegetable. It's easy to clean and low maintenance, just be careful because it is very sharp. It will not rust because it is stainless steel. I highly recommend this product and it would also make for a great gift!

A worthy addition to any kitchen
This is a good help in the kitchen. When I julienne I had to remove the carrot a few times, but still it's not much work compared to cutting by hand with a knife. The peeler has very sharp blades, so use it carefully until you master the way it glides over even the toughest pumpkin skin. I would have liked to see a bit more weight in the handle but its much better than those cheap things that break after a few uses. It has an Italian-sounding name, but it is still made in China unfortunately, so I removed a star--prefer Italian engineering, but it still looks like it will outlast me. Some reviewers complained it gets clogged up, but I found a quick brisk shake in dishwater loosened anything that got stuck, rinsed and continued peeling. Some reviewers say it cuts too thickly and wastes the vegetables, but I found if you pull the blade at a low angle towards you using your thumb to regulate the cutting action, it peels quite close. For the price this is a good addition to our kitchen.
