There's Rice At Home (Igbo)

I am learning Igbo reading this book to my 2 yo! If you grew up with Nigerian parents you have personal experiences of being told “we have food at home” countless times. As an adult, I have so much appreciation for the time and effort that went into making our dishes from scratch.

There are grammatical errors which is tacky for a book because how was it printed to be sold? Did no one read it prior to it publishing?The most important thing. The Igbo language punctuations. It was written like you were reading English. Absolutely no Igbo punctuations at all. Not a single one. If the book wasn’t punctuated properly thats one thing. But to have no punctuation at all? Im sorry that is not the Igbo language. I will be returning it.

I bought this book largely because it claimed to be written in Igbo, not a translation. Not only is this claim evidently untrue, as anyone literate in Igbo will quickly learn, it is also full of grammar and spelling errors. Unfortunately, we're getting to the book after the return period. I request that Amazon pulls this from its listing. The only worse thing to not having Igbo children's book is to have one that's so full of errors and misrepresentations. I do not recommend this.
