Glo-Toob Standard Multi-Purpose Light

The actual light given and size of the product is perfect. But the problem is that it comes with 2 different caps which I am sure one will be lost (one is for splash proof and the other is for water proof) and trying to get the light to perform any of the 7 functions can be frustrating. These are not exact instructions for any function, its just to give an idea of the hoops you have to jump through for different functionsTurn ring twice, leave on for 4 seconds. turn it off, turn it back on again, turn it off again then back on and then every time you turn the tube it will go to a different function. No exaggeration that is the process that must be gone through every time you want the light to do one of its seven functions.

I've had a Glo-Toob of my own for years, I use it while scuba diving and snorkeling. It's a great way to illuminate gauges underwater without blowing out your dark-adapted vision. They also can be clipped to a lanyard and tied to your scuba gear to serve as a marker light so other divers can more easily see you. Sure, one could use a chem-light / glowstick for this, but a Glo-Toob is SO much cooler! They're waterproof to something like 11,000 feet (not a typo, yes eleven thousand feet), and have a very long battery life.If you're like me, into gadgets and lights, spent less than $20 and get one of these cool lights!

I really wanted this to be awesome. And when it is new, and functioning perfectly- it IS great.I have owned several of these over the years, first one had an LED burn out, so only 2 of the 3 would light.I went through a series of emails, and finally got a replacement - then that one did the same thing after only a few months. If the LEDs lasted, I would give it more stars. I have a newer model now with the tail switch and various settings.. it seems ok so far. If this one dies too, im done, will find something else to use. It's pretty expensive for a few LEDS encased in some epoxy only to have one of the LEDs fail.Bottom line is I've owned 4 of these, and 3 were defective after a few months.

I bought a pair of these for night dives on a live aboard dive trip where tank marker lights were required. The red light is a good choice for a night dive as it won't interfere with night adapted eyes and allows you to dial down the intensity of your dive light to see more critters on the reef.It's well made, easy to use and the 12 volt 1/2 size AAA batteries are inexpensive and give great battery life.

Unit only operated once for a few minuites and never worked again. Still have it just to remind me never to order from this suppler again.

This is a very well thought out device. It is nearly indestructible and coupled with a long life battery it was a no brainer for me. They are on the Glove box of my cars.

Very cool light. We use it camping in the tent so the white lights do not draw the flying critters. Bright enough but not too bright.

Got for a bike and attached to jacket zipper. This light makes me very visible. Have been running all week without issues.
