Fantastic product
Did a bathroom renovation - and was using traditional spacers. They worked fine - but, to get the tiles flush - I needed something to level better. Found these and LOVE them. Easy to use, easy to reuse (need to order more bases) - and super fun to 'bang' out. I used a rubber mallet and had sooo much fun when everything was dry. I still used the traditional spacers in some places in addition to these. For a first time DIY - I think everything turned out fine!

Love these! They make tiling so much easier then the little triangle ones
Never going back to the push triangle ones. These are so super easy to use.

Worked great, I would use this again
This review is really for the whole system; the caps, the spacers, and for me the round disks to protect the tile. I purchased those 3 products separately. I had never used this system before. The results was great. The key here to avoid problems is; following the manufacturers instructions!! They have videos on their website. I read reviews where people had the spacers break off while tightening them. People couldn't get the red cap and spacer to break off afterwards. I put in a natural stone backsplash, about 21 sq ft, and had none of those problems. The one point I will say to watch out for; if you don't complete the job in one day, that's where you could have problems, when you pick up where you left off. Before you stop for the day, make sure you have spacers along the unfinished edges. Once the mortar hardens, you can't put in spacers the next day. Make sure you don't leave grout sticking out from where you left off. Make sure there isn't grout on the one edge of the bottom of the spacer that still shows. In general, try to finish the job in one day if you can. If I had to pick the biggest negative, it would be the cost. The components that I bought, just for a 21 sq ft backsplash, cost about $125. But I feel like the finished product was worth it.
