Not even close to what i expected. If you have the knowledge you will know it doesn't work. Cheap flimsy plastic. Company customer service was ok.

The plastic components of the caliper are too cheap and flimsy to give an accurate reading. You are supposed to hear/feel a click when the appropriate amount of resistance is hit on the cliper, but the plastic pieces that are supposed to "snap" together don't fit together well enough to make this happen. Would recommend buying a higher quality device. The measuring tape seems fine.

This device is supposed to have a mechanism where it clicks to tell you when to stop squeezing. My device does not make a clicking sound, so it's difficult to tell when to stop squeezing the calipers (other than when it hurts). Aside from this, it would be a fine device. I'm just concerned I'll have inconsistent measurements. Otherwise I would've given it 5 stars.

Being a Healthcare employee I'm well aware of how the BMI system works and doesn't account for men that are not overweight but very muscular so I keep that in mind. The measuring tape and caliper is also a great tool as well, whether using it on others or wanting to keep track of your own progress.
