This book is okay. Not the best book by far for learning to read. There are many difficult words to master and words are not repetitive to help remember how a word is read.

As a book to read to toddlers and pre-readers this book is fine.As a levelled reader for kids learning to read? Terrible. And considering that’s what this book is marketed as and what we purchased it as, the book does not deliver.Level 1 books of this brand usually include lots of curriculum based sight words, a few repeating words or concepts and easy to sound out words to add to their vocabulary. This book lacks all those points so just flat fails as a learning to read book.
