How stable is this? I’m concerned if older kids are being rough(running up steps fast).

I have an 8 year old and a 3 1/2 year old. They did some running up the slide and no problems that I know of. As long as it is on a flat piece of ground, should be good. There is a horizontal stiffener which runs across the width and sits on the ground and that wants it to be flat. Hope this helps. Alex

Is this slide for pool use?

I use it for my inground pool. You can extend the slide about 6 inches past the coping (the chute support ends about 6 or 7 inches before the end of the chute) and the kids shoot off the slide at least another foot or two out from the exit. Of course, you'll want to anchor the slide so it does not move. If you're in the US, a standard 5/8" hose with the end cut off fits tightly on the water connector on the slide (it's not threaded).

What kind of hose to use & is there fittings enclosed

3/4 in. Dia Water Hose is one to use. No, there is no fittings enclosed. We recommend Everbilt 1-3/4 in. Stainless-Steel Clamp.

Can this slide be used for an above the ground pool?

I don't think so. Unless the pool had a decking around the top of the pool and it was big enough for the ladder of the slide to sit on the decking too.
