Very large patch and thin straps
Works to keep light out while rehabbing after retinal surgery. Patch material feels good against skin -- unlike cone-shaped with "foam" backer, I got from the drug store. Thankfully I only needed this for about 10 days (healing well enough to leave eye uncovered. Some have said you can blink while wearing the patch. I'm an old guy but must have longer lashes than some or a different bone structure, because I could feel the patch when I blinked. If you need one for longer use, and you don't want it to look to huge, get the small. If you are looking for a costume patch, get the small.

Helped improve the 2017 Solar Eclipse experience
I got this for a most unusual use - It was part of my August 2017 Total Solar Eclipse preparation. I used it to cover my dominant eye during the start of the eclipse (i.e. partial phase), to allow that eye to become fully dark adapted. (It can take an eye anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes to be fully dark adapted.) Since the solar eclipse totality was going to be no where near that long, I wanted to have one eye fully adapted to the dark so that when totality started, I could take off the patch and see more detail of the Solar Corona than I would have been able to otherwise. It worked perfectly. It was comfortable, and my only issue was working my cameras and telescope with my non-dominate eye before totality began. Once the moment came, i flung it off as fast as I could, and enjoyed the moment.Strangely, eye patches worn by pirates centuries ago had a similar function. They allowed the wearer to go below deck and see with the one dark adapted eye, while the uncovered eye was accustomed to full sunlight up on deck. (Maybe that's where the phrase 'Aye, Aye, captain!' came from.)

didn't order for looks - I have an ongoing eye ...
didn't order for looks - I have an ongoing eye condition that requires gentle pressure to keep the lid closed from time to time. It's ok - but the strap fit is very awkward i.e. when I get it over the affected eye, the strap cuts through the eyebrow of the other, non-covered eye. any attempt to adjust the angle takes the patch off the eye.

My friend loves her patch.
My dear friend had an accident and her eyes cross, giving her double vision. She needs to block one eye to see regular. She tried every type of patch you can think of. She loves this soft-small comfortable patch because she can rotate it among her eyes. Good price too.

Very Large and Doesn't stay put
The "large" should be labeled "huge" as in too large for humans. For whatever reason, I felt like I needed an adhesive to keep the patch in place and to keep the strap from drifting over my good eye.

Excellent patch.
Bought this for my husband who has had retinal surgery and then cataract surgery. He wears it sometimes during the day when sunlight is very bright, or in bed to protect his eye. He likes the adjustable strap, good material, and would recommend.

Comfortable, Easy Adjust, Runs Large
Comfortable and easy to adjust. An average size head could probably go with a small size patch.
