Q: Will the stain the grout in my shower?

It never left stains in my shower, either. The "color depositing pigments" are mild and temporary, like cocoa powder. Doesn't stain the hands or skin either. It's not a dye and doesn't contain dyes.

Q: Are both the shampoo and conditioner sulfate free

The shampoo is not sulfate free. It has sodium Lauretta sulfate. The conditioner is sulfate free however. It's the shampoo that's most important because when you clean is when it can strip color. But John Frieda has nice products. But this one gave me too many warm tones.

Q: Is this good for color treated hair?

Yes. I have colored hair and it was great for keeping and enhancing the color.

Q: Does this work on dyed hair? Used for 2 weeks on dyed medium cool brown, now lighter more brassy

I used this product when I dyed my hair dark brown. It seemed to help maintain the color a little longer, meaning the color didn't fayed as quickly as with regular shampoos.
