Impressed
Bought this on a whim after seeing it on a review of sub 3 inch blades. For $29 had to try it.Right off the bat it comes in a nicely packaged little presentation box; which is more than some of my much more expensive knives! It contains the knife, sheath, ferro rod, pocket clip, and a wrench. As others have mentioned it came very sharp right out of the box but I touched it up a bit and now it is actually scary sharp on this little full tang D2 blade. The chunky handle is actually pretty comfortable, well rounded, without any hot spots ( much more comfortable than my GiantMouse GMF1). Thick flat spine with crisp edges that can easily be used with the included ferro rod.Small enough to fit it in a pocket so you have it when needed.I will be paying more attention to this brand in the future.

Nice little knife
I bought this because I wanted a cheap knife for with that won’t break. I always had folding pocket knives and they always broke! So… I decided on a full tang knife with good reviews and this is the one I chose. Once I received the knife and opened the box I noticed the comfort, sharp, and it has some weight to it, good start to me. Now the only thing I don’t care for it the belt clip as it doesn’t lock into place and it can only be attached vertically. What I mean is, there is no hook clip or anything to lock it onto your belt, it just slips over. That being said, the knife snaps in very snuggly and you have to use your thumb and push on the sheath to remove the knife as it’s so snug. The sheath will loosen over time and I’m sure it’ll be more of a pleasure to wear once that happens. But overall it seems like a great little knife and fingers crossed it lasts a while.

KNIFE IS GREAT…Sheath’s a problem
I wear a TOPS neck-knife around my house constantly. I’m currently setting up a Get-Home-Bag with my oldest grandson. This “Survival/Bushcraft” knife with D2 steel looked perfect. I was excited when it arrived. THE KNIFE: A solid 5 stars. Nice blade design with nice curve on the belly making it easy to slice, and it ends in a point sufficient for adding another belt notch. The spine is thick, full tang, and has a 90 degree edge on the top that works EXTREMELY well on the fire-steel rod (a huge plus factor). For new users: scrape the black coating off of the rod before use…then this knife rivals my Mora Garberg for throwing plenty of huge sparks. The knife arrived sharp enough…just short of shaving…but very usable. The handle is contoured well, and even with my x-large glove size hand, I can get a solid purchase with 3 fingers…expected for a neck knife. My wife could get all 4 fingers on the handle (just barely). I’ll add a square paracord weave to the lanyard hole (love lanyard holes) to extend the handle (same as my TOPS knife). Handle will be great with a 10 minute mod.NOW THE SHEATH: Just 3 stars for mine. I was very disappointed with the one I received. The knife did not “click” into the kydex with a positive lock. It kinda of “mushed” to a stop, and then it could be wiggled/rattled around. Sometimes it was more stable, but it was never “locked-in.” I was able to turn it upside down and shake the knife out. Granted it took some force, but I now don’t trust it as a neck knife. It’ll be fine on a belt, in a pack, in the glove box, etc., but I specifically bought it as a neck knife and that’s a bust. From reading other reviews, I suspect I just got “the bad one.” I’m tempted to order a second one to see if it’s rare or common. I digress. The fire steel holder on the sheath is extremely small. None of mine would even come close to fitting. So I’ll have to use the VERY small rod supplied in the box.SUMMARY: 5 stars for knife and 3 stars for sheath ends up being a 4 star review (4.5 if I could). Even though I won’t be using it as a neck knife, I don’t regret the purchase. It’s not easy finding a knife with a spine that works this well throwing sparks on a fire-steel rod, so it’ll get used. It’ll at least be a great training knife for the youngest grandson.

I like the knife, Sheath not so much. Updated
The knife is great in my opinion. I wanted a small fixed blade and this seems like a well built one. It's a little heavy for a neck knife but that's not what I wanted it for. It's very sharp out of box and feels good in hand. I have large hands so I can't get a full grip on it but I still like it and knew it was that small going in.The sheath in my opinion is horrible. It was super tight and almost impossible to get the knife in or out. I fixed that with a heat gun but I shouldn't have had to.I like that I am able to remove the fire starter and mount as I'm not planning to use it. But the sharpening stone being attached to the other side needs to be removable with screws. As it's mounted now there's no way to remove it. If i wanted to wear this knife IWB that sharpener is going to be super uncomfortable without an undershirt which I normally don't wear. Also it came with a bonus clip I can mount on the sheath for pocket or maybe belt carry but it can only be mounted in 1 position. Seems like a missed opportunity to make it a multi mounting clip or even horizontally would be nice.I would have no problem rating this a 4 or maybe 5 if the sheath was much better.Updated to say I have changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars. After this review I was contacted on amazon by Holtzman's Gorilla Survival asking what they could do to make this right for me. I asked what they wanted to do for me and they said they would send me out a new sheath for the knife.I said that would be amazing and gave them my info. I received a package from them today which is a few days later. Not only did they send a new sheath but they sent an entire new knife as well. They also sent me a few other extras which really impressed me. I mean no other company has ever contacted me after a review.Anyway the new sheath is a MUCH better fit than the original. I won't need to alter it at all.My only complaint with the knife or the sheath now is the fact I can't remove the built in sharpening stone. After this transaction I will buy from Holtzman's Gorilla Survival with full confidence. Amazing company.
