No Hammock with my Hammock Purchase
Good news-- The hammock frame is as nice as the picture.Bad news-- I can't tell you about the hammock...there was none provided. The story-- The box with my order arrived even earlier than promised, which was very nice since it was my husband's birthday present. He blissfully put the frame together in short order and then he asked, "Where's the hammock?" We checked the packing list and everything was supposed to be in one box..Not there. At any rate, after a few minutes on the phone with Amazon (great folks); they agreed to send another package. Guess what? Still no hammock. So, fortunately Home Depot was having a sale on theirs and $50 later we had a usable hammock frame AND hammock.PS Please don't delete this comment. I've saved a text copy for easy retrieval and re-entry.

Hammock Frame Rating Only
UPDATE DEC 2014: I have had the hammock a little over two years now and dropped the rating from 2 stars to 1 star. The center large beam completely failed when my wife sat in it, snapping violently and injuring her. If she had been an elderly person, the impact to her head, dropping her on her back across the leg structure, etc. would have caused even more serious injury or possibly even killed her. The materials used to make the beams are substandard allowing delamination (the beams are made of laminated/glued strips of wood) and eventually failure. This hammock was kept the entire time on our pool deck out of harsh sun, leaf debris, etc., but did get wet when it rained (we are in sunny Florida though, so it has plenty of time to dry out between). I strongly recommend against this product.UPDATE: After only a few weeks, the one spar with the split has continues to separate between two of the laminate layers so the split is ~1.5 ft long now. This is a bit more of a pain as I'll have to use a syringe to inject glue into the split and then use multiple clamps to repair. This is a hammock frame only. It does NOT have a hammock or bolster pillow as advertised, nor is the hardware stainless steel, hence the 2 star rating. If I were to just rate the frame, I'd give it a 3 star rating. The frame itself is decent, but for $350, I would expect a little more in the quality department. The frame was packaged well with an inner and outer box and all assembly hardware was present. The assembly hardware appears to be zinc plated, but fairly good/thick plating. The wooden cypress parts were in good shape without any obvious cracks or dents; however, the staining was only so so and the teak oiling or whatever they used to seal it appeared to be only a very very light coat. I would suggest a quick coat of decent oil based stain or a good coat of teak oil. The spars/pieces of the frame are a laminate construction and there was some noticeable separation in the plys at the end of one of the spars that I will have to re-glue. Assembly was fairly straight forward and the instructions were decent and easy to follow. The hammock frame is only 13 feet from eyelet hook to eyelet hook, and that's a problem as most standard hammocks are 13 feet long and require at least 14 feet from hook to hook or the hammock will sag far enough for your butt to hit the ground. I had ordered both the Pawleys Island Garden Collection double hammock and the Arte Mayeb Delux Mayan Hammock...both were too long for the frame. I was able to shorten all the ropes (all 48 of them) and reknot them for the Pawleys hammock to make it fit, but that's a several hour job as every rope has to be a different length that requires some trial and error to figure out and keep them tight on the spreader bar. The construction of the Mayan hammock does not allow any adjustment, so I'll have to send it back. As the hammock frame is just out of the box, hopefully, it does not continue to separate once exposed to the sun and humidity here in Florida. Unlike teak, cypress tends to have some issues with high humidity. I'll keep it treated with teak oil to hopefully prevent any problems and will update at end of summer.

Great value!
Excellent quality, surprisingly easy to put together, very comfortable. We shopped around quite a bit and all other similar products (same style and wood type) were at least $250 more. I am normally a big believer in you get what you pay for, but in this case we really got a steal. I would not hesitate to recommend this hammock to anyone who wants an attractive, well built, high end product. No issues with ordering or shipping; everything went smoothly.

Awful
I ordered this item several weeks ago and had to return it. The wood is beautiful. However, the instructions were not clear and assembly was incredibly complicated. Whenever you are dealing with wood furniture, you need to factor in a margin of error. The hammock stand requires you to push 6 inch bolts through three thick pieces of wood. The holes did not line up perfectly no matter how many times I tried to assemble it. I had to take it apart and re-assemble and each time, the holes would not line up perfectly. Therefore, I returned it. Keep in mind, returning an item like this is not easy. I had to take it back to a UPS store and carefully place all of the wood pieces back in the box. The entire package weighed in excess of a hundred pounds. It took me over an hour and thirty dollars in supplies to re-package the item for shipment back to Amazon. Thankfully, Amazon processed the return and refunded my money. However, this was an incredibly frustrating ordeal. If you want a hammock like this, I suggest you go to a retail store and pay the premium to have them deliver and assemble the hammock for you. I would also advise sticking with a name brand hammock like Pawleys. Do not buy this one.

Looks fabulous but fell apart
My husband bought this for me for my birthday as a surprise -- I've always wanted a hammock -- and this one was gorgeous. It's yard sculpture really. The problem is that when we sat it in it spat us out and onto the wooden base - ouch! We had keep it as off limits for little kids and anyone over 50. Not ideal for achieving a welcoming yard. Then to make matters worse we found it with the strings broken. It looked as if squirrels had attacked it - the string hammock portion was destroyed (the base is fine). We had it for 3 months and it saw maybe "10 sittings" tops. I'm thinking a standard tree to tree hammock would have held up longer. We're not sure if a wind storm made the strings break or what but there were not teeth marks from squirrels. Contacting the manufacturer to see what we can do. I'll post an update when it's resolved but the falling apart aspect is at least worth noting. Buyer beware.

Shipping was very poor
box came in shambles, ripped open, taped up and not accepted. Didn't want to take a chance that it was completely ruined and missing pieces
