Amazon Basics 400 Thread Count Sheet Set, Queen, White

Amazon makes good products. This is my story on my endless search for perfect bedding.I have lupus, arthritis, laminectomy syndrome & hot flashes. I have to spend @ least 16 hours per day in bed because of my chronic pain & degeneration of muscle tissue. It started 11yrs ago, & I found out quickly having proper bedding can mean a world of difference in your ability to sleep all night & whether or not your skin gets dry, irritated, etc.For years I only used Ralph Lauren bedding. Period. But then when I closed my business, I had to shop more economically.I've always had a bit of an obsession over linens, my skin is VERY sensitive, & so I've learned quite a bit about fabrics, thread counts, & brands I can trust.These sheets have been just as good as my Ralph Lauren & Tahari brands. For people who run hot due to perspiration, hot flashes, etc., a medium grade of 350 to 550 thread count of 100% cotton will allow your skin to breathe, and for heat to escape thru the looser woven fabric, as opposed to the higher grade, tightly woven fabrics, which retain heat.I only use white, so I don't have any knowledge of if the colored sheets might fade.My white amazon basic sheet set is very breathable, they help keep my body COOL! Yea! They are medium weight, not too heavy against skin, yet not so thin they would tear. They wash very well. They are cotton, so no skin reactions like I get with microfiber or other fabrics. They have a nice sateen sheen, which gives them a light silky feeling, & I really like that. The sheets will fit up to @ least 20 or 22 inches deep & pillow cases are big & fit my extra stuffed pillows well. I also have a tempurpedic motion bed, so I sew strips of elastic across the 4 corners (which is great solution for motion bed sheet slipping & can even be done by hand) & the sheets have held up wonderfully with the alterations. I've bought 2 sets so far & will probably buy more for my guest rooms! They are a great buy & the price is great for the excellence of the product! And if I say they are great, they are. I'm very tough on reviews of bedding.

I received my sheets today and liked the color (I got the beige). I checked them over and the stitching appears to be well done. Others are right on here. They had a chemical smell, which you can expect with new sheets. I washed them on heavy cycle in hot water like the label stated and used plenty of fabric softener since I read about them being scratchy after being washed. Mine came out of the dryer soft as ever. They have a lite shine to them but they are very soft. They aren't as thick as my other sheets but not bad at all. Feel like they will be warm and snuggly.I do however have a small complaint so far. These sheets and pillowcases are huge. We have a king pillow top mattress that's 18 inches thick and they were still big. Not complaining too much really. Better than running small. I just had to do some tucking in of the fitted sheet as well as tucking in a lot of the flat sheet. But overall not that bad. Anyone with a thinner mattress may want to think twice about these. They run really huge. Once I sleep on them and wash a few more times there will be more to tell on how they hold up and feel at night.Had these sheets since September and still love them. They've held up to several washings and are still as soft as ever with no rips or seam ripping. Well probably get me another set soon. No regrets in purchase.March 2017I've had these sheets since September 2016. They are still holding up great. Love them. Plan on buying more soon if still available.May 2017Sheets still holding up well. The softest sheets I've ever owned. However when I washed them last time I did notice a bit of fraying on the sheets themselves. Still happy with them. I have a blue set just like them and like them too. But my white ones are still the softest and by far my favorite.

I use these for a rental house so I look for cheaper, quality sheets that will withstand washing and that I can replace in a year or so without heartburn. Amazon basics are what we use for most linens. These are good quality, soft, and wash to be much nicer than when they come out of the package. My only negative for these is they are not pure white. I ordered 6 sets of white twin sheets and they are all off-white rather than pure white.

This is not that microfiber crud. These sheets really are 100% cotton. The sheets aren't Egyptian Cotton type sheets, so they do not have a smooth finish and have a slight scratchy feel. So that's down to your opinions and preferences. If you want smooth sheets, this isn't what you want. If smooth finish isn't your thing and you want sheets that aren't slippery and won't let your blankets or you slide off mattress, you'll like this.I was unsure about the scruffy feel after I washed the sheets and touched them, but sleeping in the bed feels great and I have no doubts now. This is what the sheets' ad means by "Sateen Finish".The fitted sheet that goes on the mattress is HUGE, as other reviews have noted. They'll be loose on some mattresses and you'll have to stuff it under or use mattress straps. If it's a pet peeve for you, be aware of this. But I think it's good. After all, some pillow-top mattresses are enormous, and then add on top of that the mattress cover, another foam insert, etc, and now some older sheets won't even fit these modern beds. But these amazon sheets have plenty of vertical room.Me, I just wanted cheap sheets. I got these for about $20 on a Lightning Deal, which is about half off (at this time, summer 2016). But only beige was at that price. Check all the colors to find the cheapest one! For some reason, they're always different. If these sheets go down to that price again, /absolutely/ buy them! If its the regular $40-50 price and you just need sheets or a particular color right now... eh, sure. They're pretty good.

Don't be fooled by that microfiber garbage; it's all terrible, and seemingly designed to cheat the "thread count" system... 1200 thread count microfiber is thin to the point of being see through, is annoyingly stretchy (will bunch up on you) and has no durability.... My set lasted a few months (it was also amazon basic)THIS, however, is proper cotton. 400 isn't much but it feels fine to me. Highly recommended.

I got this for 1800/- and it’s worth for the price paid.. I just got too lucky to get this for such a reduced price for whenever I’ve wishlisted this the price was always 4500 plus. I have bought around 5 of these of various colours. Previously I bought it for 2450/- Whatever it’s excellent.. But I love the amazon basics jersey bed sheets even better and they are always priced high but they are worth ! I use only amazon basics bedding sets for my home.. They are the best..

The product is good and comfortable. I think the price is a bit high.
