Just to keep my GPU temps in line, don't want things getting too hot

With any liquid cooled system you need a way for your MB to see the temp's. This slick sending unit works perfectly. Mine is mounted on the outlet of the large rad up top.

I'd expected to receive sensors which had received mixed reviews for accuracy. I'd ordered them anyway because someone had found a fix for the loose outer casing which caused the sensor to make poor thermal contact with the metal fitting.The sensors I received, however, had a tight housing rather than the problematic loose casing and seem to be consistent (sample size of 2).

cant get it to display the temp in windows beside asus mobo software.

Have it on my system inline before the CPU block and reads very precisely.

The thermocouple is on the inside of the plastic body against the metal body. I didnt know this and mounted one on the input and one at the output of my radiator. The metal body thermally shorts and I get ~47/47°C I/O. 0/10. Fail.

I didn't test this sensor with a multimeter out of the box, but when I plugged it into my controller (after being installed) I found out that it was open circuited. Hard to tell if it came that way or if I accidently broke a connection when screwing in, however I was very careful to not put force on the cables. The O-ring on between the housing and male G1/4 thread is thick and doesn't have a slot to recede into when tightened down, so you will have a small gap between this fitting and the next fitting - although not very noticeable unless you're really looking for it.Since its installed in my loop, and I'm not draining the loop just to remove a sensor ($15 return for another $15-20 in coolant isn't worth it) then I'll live with it until I drain my loop for my GPU upgrade.
