I was hesitant to get these balloons due to the reviews. Honestly, ignore them, it sounds like most didn’t follow the directions. They can get to 18”, just fill them up slowly with pauses (they will send you the video after your purchase). If you don’t blow them up big enough, there won’t be enough helium to overcome the gravity/weight with the led lights attached - they need to be filled up enough or they won’t work. Simple science, but if it is not filled up enough they will barely float and even distort a bit to make it look like they are deflating. I actually feel bad for those that decided against buying these because of the reviews, they were a huge hit! Every single balloon and battery pack worked. The party was Saturday afternoon and it is Tuesday now and they are all still up on the ceiling. If you want long strings only wrap the LED lights over the balloon once - still looks cool.*if you use a balloon time tank you will need more helium than it says. It said that it could fill up 14-15 18” balloons, it only filled up 8.

I like this product and have just ordered another set. After reading the directions, I inflated the balloon with no problem. I learned, however, to be sure the light wire is wrapped very tightly around the balloon nozzle, to prevent leaking. The balloon is pretty sturdy plastic. Now, though, I've mostly skipped the balloon part and use these light for night lights or decoration. In a child's bedroom they'd be terrific. They're LEDs - batteries last for weeks, alkaline or rechargeable.

These are REALLY beautiful - We used them for a glow party-- BUT --- I'm not sure if it was the balloon or the inflator at the grocery store, but the woman had a really hard time getting the helium tank into the lip of the ballon. That said, she ended up not blowing them up all the way so they sort of lingered midway in the air/on the ground.

They are a wow factor to the party!You need a lot of helium for these!You should blow these up right before the party starts so they stay afloat longer.The lights come separate and have to be wrapped around the balloon and sometimes the battery pack will weigh it down so it doesn’t float so wrap carefully.The ones we did right were gear! FYI. Helium is expensive and never goes as far as you think.
