Work the World with JT65 and JT9 Paperback – January 1, 2016

This book provides the radio amateur with everything that he/she needs to know to get started in JT65 and JT9. It is written at a level that most hams will understand, leaving the technical nuts and bolts for exploration later. Because everyone's situation is different, it doesn't cover 100% of what you will need to get on the air, but most hams can fill in the blanks with ease. There are plenty of screenshots to help you get started. There is also a good discussion of what to expect once you are on the air.

Just the settings discussion is well worth the price and read. I was able to configure the system for much more efficient operation even though the software package is very user friendly and I was able to obtain basic operation with no assistance whatsoever. I was encouraged to see the author, with significantly more experience than me, is also operating with an external interface: Timewave Navigator. I figured having an external interface would simplify operation, and it does. Now I am intrigued to explore the reverse beacon feature set. Well done! Thank you.73s,Gary WA0WHE

This book is going to be my blueprint for getting on JT65. With it's help I fee; confident that I will be successful!!!

A good set of basics for the new digital modes and the software that supports them. This will give you a new and fascinating insight to HF communication.

Typical ARRL primer. Wish they would put more detail into these... better and more up-to-date photos would be a significant plus.

This is a great quick way to get up to speed on the digital modes for HF and how to use them. My impression is that it will be easier than I expected and has peaked my interest in trying it.

I would recommend this to anyone starting to use these modes. I have been using them for a while successfully and learned I was reading a couple things completely opposite. Great book, great to learn from and written to understand. Great job, 73's

Although JT65 & JT9 has now been superseded by FT8 this ARRL publication is nevertheless quite useful and far more up to date than RSGB publications unfortunately, like most items emanating from the USA, it's rather overpriced. Most of the information can be easily found on the internet - so buying a book isn't really required!
