An imposing beauty in any landscape, this spinner, splashed with bright colors that blend to form a beautiful flower when spinning, stands over six feet. Stationary, the curving radial lines interlace various circles of vivid color, recalling fabulous peacock feathers in shape and design. Metal construction. Size: 24" dia. x 5-1/2"D x 75"H

I am disappointed
Not even close to being as bright and pretty as the ad pictures show. Disappointing. Lot of money to pay for false advertisement. Here is my photo, showing realistically what this garden decoration looks like...

Beautiful and mesmerizing
I was a little leery about getting this as I thought the colored metal might be a bit cheesy. I was wrong. The paint is crackled so it gives and interesting effect. I am so glad I bought it and it is the right price, not cheap looking and it is beautiful. The spinner is 24" across and each spinner is 5-1/2" from the center of the pole so they are about 11" apart from the outside of each when completed. The pole, with the spinners attached, is 75" tall from top to bottom. The bottom goes into 3 prongs that are driven into the earth so you will probably lose about 4" to about 6" from the height. So, when it is driven in the soil it will be about 5 1/2 feet tall. For me, it is the right size and height as I have it on a little knoll in my backyard. It delicately spins in the area I placed it in, the spinners going in opposite directions. It brings a nice accent to the backyard.NOTE: If you put the spinner on incorrectly, it will lock up. Make sure you put the nut on, then the spinner with the SILVER color center pointing OUTWARD, then the black metal plate and then the lock nut. It will easily spin. If it doesn't, you have the spinner on backwards.

OK, it doesn't spin as easily as
OK, it doesn't spin as easily as another I have, but a plus to our backyard. The directions are not correct. I fellowed and found that the nuts tighten when the wind turn the spinners. I believe some one else mentioned the same. I only put on the item described as a spacer and the cap nut. It works fine. A little design flaw. Overall we are happy to have it. I would hope it would spin with a lighter wind, but the design doesn't allow that to happen. I have it in partial sun so I am not worried about the colors fading as other have mentioned. It is well made and the base will hold it secure, not to worry. I would recommend even through it doesn't spin all the time the wind it blowing.

Too expensive to be this fall apart in a month
I had this spinner less than a month and the colors faded significantly. I bought this for my wife for an anniversary gift. She was so excited to have it. It wasnt as brightly colored as the photo, even straight out of the box. My wife was very disappointed with the colors but still wanted to keep it. After a few weeks the colors were so faded that you could barely tell what the original colors were. A prong had also bent and the spinner started to rust. It also didnt spin correctly. All this within less than a month of owning it. I contacted Plow and Hearth and they basically said "oh, well", but they did say that I needed to keep turtle wax on the colors to keep them from fading. Why this wasnt on the instructions, I dont know. For almost $100, I shouldnt have to be fixing it and applying turtle wax. Thankfully I was able to return it to Amazon because it was within the 30 day return period.

Red Colors faded !
It is beautiful. I look at it every day. It looks great when it spins it shines and shimmers. Even when it is still it is a terrific piece of art. Thank you Plow and Hearth. It is 6 months later and it moves just like it did when I set it out. BUT the colors are definitely lacking. The red is non existent. The blue is the brightest and the gold shines too. I am very disappointed with the finish. It is a shame too because it is a quality built spinner. Better than I have seen even from local artist. I expected the spinner to last for many many years.

It is a great wind and direction device
It is a great wind and direction device. It spins with the wind above 3 mph. I have it in a garden that is just outside our family room bay window. We watch it while we are eating breakfast as the wind starts at stillness and gusts and changes directions. The two blades spin together at times. reverse directions at times and every once in a while one is spinning like crazy and the other is stationary which makes for quite an experience. We love the colors and when the sun starts to hit the blades they seem to light up brightly. We have quite a show and are really happy that we made this purchase.

Beautiful at first, fast fading.
The colors fade VERY FAST. Mine has been out for only a couple of months. Also, one side is constantly getting stuck. It was purchased in spring. Photo is before end of June.

It's small than I was expecting and it doesn't spin as easily as my first one
this is the second wind spinner I have bought. It's small than I was expecting and it doesn't spin as easily as my first one. It takes more wind to make it spin. It is also harder to see than my first one. Both spinners are the same distance from my patio and about 10 ft apart but if you didn't know this one was there you wouldn't notice it. It you are locating it close to your deck or patio, I guess it would be okay.
