Millrose Available Mill-Rose 70886 Blue Monster PTFE Pipe Thread Sealant Tape, 3/4-Inch x 1429-Inches, 0.75 Inch

This didn't seem like a great deal for what amounts to a little tape, but I developed a leak in the PVC below the kitchen sink and figured I'd try it before calling the plumber (I temporarily taped over the joints with PVC tape, but they also began to leak after a day). The PVC is cheap and in my case, I was concerned because the threaded part is very short, so it seemed unlikely a little of this very thin tape would work. One of the threads is also on a curved section so that seemed like it could be a problem. I wrapped up 3 intersections, going over the threads a couple times, pressing it into the threads, and making sure not to leave any tape hanging over the outer edge, which can create turbulence and mess up your water flow.Well, it's been a couple weeks now and none of the taped threads have leaked once, they're bone dry. That's about all that needs to be said really, this stuff works incredibly well. just make sure you thoroughly cover every thread (I recommend at least 2 times, maybe more if it seems very loose when screwing the pipe together), keep the tape stretched straight when applying, press the tape into the threads so there's no bubbles, and make sure the end of the pipe is clean.EDIT: 2 years later and those connections are still holding, no leaks. Have also used it successfully in the garden for hoses and spigots.

Slightly thicker then cheaper tape and it does not shred when you tear it. I love the large roll that makes it easier to use although the hole is not quite right for fitting my fingers. Overall it is superior to the cheap stuff. I like not having a stack of spares of shorter cheap rolls in my bucket. One or two spares of this lasts for a while. Great product.

Best thread tape I've ever used. The roll should last a long time too. Seriously good stuff here.

It’s much better than typical white tapes! I used it to replace my shower head and it works well!I reduced one star because it is too expensive than Lowe’s or Home Depot.

Used for radiator valves and vents. Worked as expected and I have plenty left over. Would buy again.

Works really well and is a nice size. I will be buying this brand from now on. If you only need a little bit of tape and don't use it often, the cheap stuff you can get anywhere will work fine. If you are really concerned about what you are repairing/installing and need rock solid, leak seal, this is the stuff.

Good stuff. That pretty much sums it up. What is also great is the rolls are huge and not only is it a good value dollar wise, the actual Teflon tape is a great weight/ thickness. Will take longer to run out but also has been nice to work with along the way. Compared to others I have tried from various industrial supply houses and the local box stores....this is a definite favorite.

I wish it stretched a little more and I wish it stayed put better. That said, once you manage to get it to stay put it's incredible how well this keep water from leaking. Awesome product. Used it on my entire pool plumbing which had a few slow leaks before. I also used it on an old spicket that ALWAYS leaked regardless of what hose you used. Now it's sealed shut.

Excellent tape. Thick. Only problem is the price is so variable!
