Another corporate casualty?
These used to be widely available and a cheap source of shelf-stable protein...like $2 a can...but disappeared a few years ago and now only available at outrageous prices. For some reason the little 4 oz tins are still available, but they're bland and tough. These big HOT ones are the way to go. Just don't read the ingredients if you're the queasy type.

Great taste, Hard to find item in most area's, Pricey but a great treat!
I grew up eating Prairie Belt Hot Smoked Sausages, I have not had them since I left the Chicago area more than 15 years ago, they are 3.00 a can in the Chicago, Indiana area, when I saw them I had to buy them, they taste exactly as I remembered. They are an excellent snack!
