I got these to stick on the bottom of my ballroom dance shoes that have a suede bottom. The problem with the suede is that on some floors they're too slippery, and on some sticky floors, they're too sticky and it's impossible to pivot or spin. Also, if someone spills a drink on the floor and the suede gets wet, well, no more dancing for the night! A dancer friend of mine recommended these and I was skeptical because for one, I thought they would not stay on (judging by some of the reviews) and second, I was worried they wouldn't slide very well. To my surprise, they adhered very well and passed the test of many spins on the dance floor, and it was just the right amount of slide. On really sticky floors, they're still a little sticky but that's not the fault of this product. I'm very pleased that it works for my purpose!

I rotate my closet constantly but I have a love of fine shoes. So I always use these on a new pair - it keeps the sole from getting damaged and scraped. It doesn’t prevent indents etc, but does help resale value. Helps traction too. Easy to cut to size!
