Q: After you take them off, is there any residue left over?

Most definitely. They come off too easily AND leave residue. Be extra careful using on hard or plastic surfaces. My son put one on a water bottle and it left a gooey mess when he took the label off. In fairness, they ARE clothing labels.

Q: Are these labels soft or plastic feeling. Trying to figure out if they would work in collars without being irritating to the skin.

They are soft with a thin layer of plastic. They did not seem to irritate my grandfathers skin. They are smooth to the touch when they are on the clothes and they are very durable.

Q: Has anyone used these fabric labels on plastic cups or glass bottles?

Yes...we use them on our little ones plastic baby bottles...have been on there for months thru many washings and with no problems...just wish I had better penmanship. : )

Q: Is it easy to take these off (for when the clothes/coats etc get passed along)?

I don't know as I haven't tried to do so yet. My guess, though, would be no, it wouldn't be easy to take off.
