APCC EZ Install Adjustable Bungee Cord Hook, 10/Pack

These were easier than I would have thought to use to make bungee cords for household purposes. Plastic is nice and thick.I bought some bulk bungee cord, and cut to length, fed it through and looped the cord back through, pull it tight - and viola, new finished bungee cord.They seem to hold pretty well, but under heavier loads these may slip a bit - you need to tie a knot or two to keep cord from slipping. I tried pulling the cord as tight as possible into the holder before applying some decent tension, and they still slip. So, deducting a star for design, but hey they're pretty good for most simple things. If you need to hold a heavier load, you probably want to crimp on some fasteners like already assembled bungee cords.

In my town when you put out recycling, you need s garbage can with a black back attached to the can. They will not take the black bag.I figured out that making a bungee cord to the exact size was the way to go. Pre-made cords just did not fit. To solve the problem I purchased a spool of bungee cord and these hook endsI cut the bungee cord and fit each end through one of these plastic hooks. It was easy and the hook grabbed the cord and held it perfectly.By the way a little hint here that I received from the manufacturer of the hooks and the cord. After you cut the bungee cord to the correct size, put a flame on each end to melt the ends so the cord never unravels. Great idea. I have done it a number of times and it works perfectly.

The hooks are Ok but i wouldn't trust them for too much strength. The locking mechanism is not the best but it willdo the job. There are better books out there. I wanted to use it for boxing purposes by hanging a boxing ball that bounces back and forth for agility practice. Kind of worried that it might come lose or break at some point and cause injury to my face.For common use like moving it's OK but i wouldn't trust it for too much strength or agility.

Did what is designed to do. We used to make bungee cords to hold covers on our outdoor furniture for the winter.

These things are fantastic. Especially for oddly shaped tie downs.

Love them! I make custom outdoor curtains for patios and gazebos, using windbreak material with grommets. I have to make all my own bungee cords in order to get the perfect size for each installation (no two the same). These are so easy to use, hold very tight, and are adjustable. I just wish they were offered in bulk at a more reasonable price.
