Why can't you change batteries in snake's head. The phillips head screws turn but nothing happens. Useless if you can't change batteries.

Can you buy the special tool to open the snake head

It's just a very small philips screw driver, found at any hardware store or store that sells tools.

How can you change the batteries?

The batteries are fairly easy to change but there are a few tips that can be helpful. First, you need 5 AAA batteries. On the remote, simply unscrew teh battery compartment with a standard phillips head and replace 2 batteries. There are 3 AAA batteries in the snake's head. Turn the snak on its back and you'll see 4 large and 2 small screws. Tip #1: don't mess with the small screws. The four large screws need ot be taken out. If you look carefully at the screw head you'll see that the screws seem to require a triangle shaped screwdriver head. Good luck finding one of those. tip #2: you can use a 2.5 mm slotted (i.e., regular flat head) screwdriver. Take your time to carefully place the screwdriver tip into the triangle. It should be a nice, tight fit. Unscrew the four screws. Next turn the snake right-side-up and gently pry the upper part of the head from the bottom. Tip #3: be careful to not pull on the wires and if the lights for the eyes come out of their slots, simply press them back into place before reassembly. Tip #4: with the head cover removed, you'll see the tip of one battery in the first joint to the rear of the snake's head. grasp the first joint with one hand, hold the head with your other hand and then gently slide the joint away from the head. The entire battery will now be visible and replaceable. Turn the snake over and you'll find 2 more AAA batteries in the bottom of the first joint. After replacing the 3 batteries, reassemble and have fun.

Worst toy I ever bought the toy didn’t work I tried changing the batteries still didn’t work to anyone who wants to buy this toy don’t It’s not worth the price or the time such a waste of money and the kids were so disappointed

It’s fun

Bought it in store and my 3yo loves it! Cons: Remote needs to be pointing directly at snake’s head Snake keeps switching off and has to be put in quite frequently Definitely could use a better technology but as long as my toddler is happy with it I can’t complain.

Moves well on laminate floor and tiles I can't comment for carpet as I don't have them downstairs the quality is good and it's excellent fun the grandson loves it the functionality of this makes easy to use excellent value and battery seems to last well

Our 4-year-old boy begged for a remote control snake for Christmas. Well he got this one, and it didn't disappoint! He has had so much fun chasing family members with it and figuring out the coordination of the remote control with the movement of the snake. It's not loud and there aren't any lights, other than the snake eyes that illuminate when the power switch is turned on. I can't speak to battery life, other than we haven't had to change batteries yet. We have a busy house with 5 kids and it hasn't broken yet! It's the perfect, unrealistic size for a kids toy, and yet it has somehow managed to freak the whole house out at times!!! LOL! Enjoy!
