It does not have a strap, but nice carrying handle.

I got one this year, 2018. It by far looks cheap.Irs very nice. It has covered layers, so makeup spills can be easily wiped up. Yes, it is the smaller one, but this is why I purchased mine. I wanted a smaller one for my basic items I use everyday. Also, for travel. Of course, for this price your not going to get the larger shanny case. There are several sizes and options for sale on Amazon. The size larger I purchased a couple years ago for my nieces. They didn't have anything else. I on the other hand have many. I do have pictures on my review. It has a bottom, and opens up on one side, that pulls out. You could fit a pallet on the bottom. It's the deepest. But, that's all you would have room for on that level. So I suggest, for your needs, to get the larger size. It has the lock, & strap. And opens up on both sides. I hope this is helpful for you.

It fits my NAKED original pallet fine. Probably could fit 2-3 in it

Q: Does this product tip over when opened?

If the top tray is full of items and the bottom containers weight does not support the items in the top tray, yes it will tip over.
