These natural wood colored pencils are non-toxic, appropriate for use by both adults and school age children. Each natural wood barrel has a hexagon shape, and that is very nice because it keeps them from rolling and falling off my desk. A drop like that can break the core inside the barrel so that you have trouble with the pencil. Well, I have ceramic floors so there is a danger of that for me. On carpet you wouldn't have that problem.The colored pencils are finished in a very pretty high gloss lacquer in a color that matches the core pigment color. There is no unique color name or number printed on the individual pencils. They come in a bright and colorful box that is pretty, but it really isn't something I plan to store my awesome colored pencils in permanently. I have a cute pencil bag that I'm going to put them in.These are wonderful to color with. They apply so creamy and evenly without leaving any lines to show where you start, stop, change direction, start again after sharpening. I'll post a coloring page that I am working on to show the smooth look of the applied pigments. They apply vibrant, vivid color if you apply a small amount of pressure while coloring. With a lighter hand these colored pencils are great for special effects like shading and blending.These colored pencils come fully sharpened and ready to use. The coloring tip on the pencils seems to hold a fine point very well. The tip doesn't break or wear down quickly. They do great on tiny details. I have sharpened these with an electric sharpener and with a handheld sharpener, and they sharpen easily with either one, never breaking.I am loving this Niutop 36 Profession Art Colored Pencils Set. Because they are listed together, I will just add my review of the Fineliner Colored Pen Set here. I will also add my photos along with the pencil photos.Ink flows easily from these felt tips. The tips are sturdy and stand up well to a heavy hand (like I tend to have), but using a light hand is all that is necessary because the ink flows beautifully. These do not over wet the paper so that it tears when you use them to fill in larger areas.The ink seems to dry almost instantly so it doesn't smear on the paper if you touch it with your hand and it also doesn't transfer to your hand. Awesome.They draw fine lines very nicely. I love them for line art. I have used these quite a bit already and none of them are showing signs of running out of ink. That is very unusual for fine tipped markers at such a great price.These are true marker ink and they do bleed through to the back of the page if you are using regular printer paper and probably most coloring books, so I wouldn't use them in a coloring book that has artwork on both sides of the page. I only use colored pencils in those. I actually avoid those coloring books if possible because even pencils will leave an impression on the page and make coloring the other side difficult.I'm very happy with these pens!

The pencils are fine, I wish I would have gotten a bigger set, but there are a lot of colors. It's just a little bit pricey. But since I got Into this as a helpful aid to stop smoking, it's worth it.

Nice set of wooden pencilsThis is a very nice set of wooden pencils. There is a good assortment of colors and even a free sharpner. The package they come in is just the standard cardboard box.I have purchased other pencil similar to this and these colors are so much brighter and write so much smoother. Very easy to sharpen to a fine point.These color without leaving a mark,,,very smooth transition of colors that blend very nicely. These are very well-made, and durable colored pencils. There is a huge variety of beautiful vibrant colors. They do not break easily and sharpen easily when needed. My daughter has absolutely loved working with these pencils on craft and art projects. The colors are very bright and bold. I have purchased other pencil similar to this and these colors are so much brighter and write so much smoother than the others that we have used. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a beautiful set of colored pencils. These colors are true. They are easy to sharpen. You know some pencils just never sharpen right. The only thing I wish was different, is, I wish they put the name of the color on the pencil. There are a few that are hard to tell. (Blue or Purple, Red or Orange). But I just have to color on a scratch piece. Not that big of a deal.
