Best. Chai. Ever.
I was ecstatic not only find that Amazon sells Celestial Seasonings India Spice Chai Tea- the regular caffeinated version of which has become scarce in all stores I shop at, but that Amazon also has the decaffeinated version! I must say I've tried countless chai teas, organic, loose leaf, so many brands I lost track years ago- I"ve probably tried 15 plus. Surprisingly none have ever compared to the Celestial Seasonings India Spice Chai- not by a long shot; theirs is the perfect balance of black tea, cinnamon, cloves, ginger with slightly detectable star anise and nutmeg. I love how if you let your bag steep a bit longer you get a bit of peppery kick, not like you sprinkled black pepper in your tea mind you, but a bit of heat that just enhances the other spices. This tea is at it's sublime best with honey and whole milk. It tastes spectacular at iced tea too- I let it cool to room temp then pour over ice; pouring hot tea/ hot coffee over ice can produce a pungent, unpleasant taste. Being pregnant I am so thrilled to have my favorite tea available in a decaffeinated version. Amazon offered this in a 6 box pack (20 count bags per box) on the subscribe and save program and the price per box was the best I'd ever seen anywhere. I truly hope that this, and the original caffeinated version, are always available here on Amazon for such great prices. If you're looking for a well-balanced spice blend of true chai, look no further than Celestial Seasonings.

Flavorful chai bag with nice amount of tea in it
They had a very nice chai flavor, but a bit on the mellow side. I do lean toward a strong tea. But the amount in the bag was decent and the price tag was good too.

Review: Celestial Seasonings Chai Tea, Decaf India Spice, 20-Count Tea Bags (Pack of 6)
I really love chai tea. I tried plenty of brands, and Twinings used to be my favorite. Until I tried Celestial Seasonings decaf chai tea. It is a bit spicier than Twinings, which I consider to be a little on the bland side. I have a favorite Indian restaurant where they serve authentic chai tea. And that is really hard to beat. But honestly, if I want a nice rich cup of chai tea that's close to authentic I mix three-quarter cup of hot milk (about 200 degrees) and add that to a quarter cup of hot water with two teabags and brew for eight minutes on a warming plate (I use my Bunn coffee maker for the hot water and the warming plate!). With a little honey added, this Celestial Seasonings chai tea comes really close to the restaurant quality stuff, really rich tasting. Most of the time though, I just brew the two teabags with hot water and add some half-and-half as a creamer along with honey. And the 20 count bags in a six pack is really economical. With the free shipping they really beat the supermarket price. Highly recommended. Four stars.

Very enjoyble, but the price needs to come down.
This product is great, healthy and refeshing. I wish price wasn't so steep. Pricing it reasonable will enable more people to enjoy it.

Price Change in March 2020 to 250% higher
Otherwise, great tea, but ya gotta wonder why, in these shelter in place times, it goes up that much.

My Favorite Hot Drink
This is my first venture into the "spice" teas, but it has become my favorite hot drink. I like it strong, so I place two of the double bags into my cup. I sweeten it with a new product called Truvia. Truvia is made from stevia, which is commonly referred to as nature's sweetleaf. Truvia can be bought online at Truvia.com and supposedly will make its way into the supermarkets this coming summer. I rated it four stars because I have no other spice tea to compare it to, so I'll reserve my 5 stars should I encounter another spice tea that beats this one without having to pay an outrageous price for it.
