I bought this kalimba, and later I got the "same" Hluru kalimba directly from the official Hluru eshop. I put "same" in quotation marks because even though they are advertised to be the same 21-key model, look the same in pictures, and arrived with the exact same accessories, the sound quality difference is very noticeable.They look almost identical. The Hluru kalimba that I got from Amazon has a glossy finish and arrived with two dead tines (the highest tones, D and E). That means the tones don't resonate so they are tricky to play. The overall the sound quality is good.The Hluru kalimba that I got from the official Hluru eshop has a matte finish and arrived with all tines functional. In addition to that, it has a more pleasant, mellow sound and reverberates much better.I don't know why there is such a quality difference between the two. The kalimba I got from here definitely doesn't sound bad (apart from the dead tines) and looks nice, but if I wanted to order another kalimba, I'd definitely go to the official Hluru eshop because the kalimba I got from there sounds better.

This kalimba sounds amazing, the keys resonate beautifully. It arrived in wonderful condition and the case is sturdy and has everything you need to get started as a beginner. It is a quieter instrument, it’s more to play for yourself rather than to play for an audience.It can be a little difficult to tune some of the keys but I don’t mind spending the extra time it takes to get it right. I’ve had mine for over two months and play it 2-4 times a week, I’ve had to tune it twice. As long as you are gentle with the tines it seems to prolong how often you need to tune it.This is my first kalimba and I’m very happy with it!

If you are thinking about buying this kalimba, JUST DO IT. I looked all over for a good kalimba and I believe I found one of the best. I am blown away by the quality of this kalimba. Just holding it, I am so impressed with the quality of the wood and craftsmanship. I made sure that I bought from the seller Shakala, as they are the seller of gokalimba.com. I recieved a verified unit from Huluru and confirmed the verification code on the box that this unit was original. This kalimba is definitely worth the money.

The build quality is great, and it sounds just like I was hoping for. This is my first kalimba, and it’s a good one for people who want to learn but want more song options than a 17-key kalimba.Mine included an electronic pickup with adhesive tape. That feature was shown in the product photo but I didn’t see it mentioned in the description, so I wasn’t sure if it would be there. It was!

this kalimba is the best one I own, the sound is much clearer and there is no after reverb like you get from a hollow one makes it sound a lot better, though it is tuned to F. has the extra keys, and are so useful
