Viper Max Strength is the Best on the Market.
Dirt on the coil and condenser fins of an outside AC unit begins the day the unit is installed and slowly robs you of mechanical efficiency while driving up your energy costs and most people think it takes an expensive professional to do the cleaning so they delay, delay, delay. Some will shoot water from a garden hose into the fins. Does that clean the unit sufficiently? Try that on your dirty laundry and see how clean a mere garden hose shooting cold water gets your laundry. It doesn't do much at all. I've been using VIPER MAXIMUM STRENGTH AC CONDENSER CLEANER, applied with a foam gun, every year and it gets my condenser fins gleaming like the day the unit was installed. My family can FEEL the before/after difference in the cooling ability of the unit while inside the house, too. The unit doesn't have to work as hard, doesn't have to come on as often because clean condenser fins help the unit work more efficiently and my savings in electricity more than pay for the Viper over the course of a year (Louisiana has an 8-month AC season). This is the best product on the market, makes an ample 9 gallons of cleaner and at a fair price. I've tried many other products but I've stuck with Viper for years now. It is simply better at what needs to be done than the other products on the market.

Seems to work
What sold me was the Non-Toxic & No Odor and Aluminum and Micro channel safe. Micro Channels are becoming more prevalent in AC systems - even on car condensers. Apparently they are pretty easy to damage, and when we bought our new system a few years ago, they cautioned me not to use anything but water when cleaning the outside condenser unit. Well, just water doesn't do the best job, so when I saw this I decided to take a chance and give it a try. It is a liquid, and can be mixed in different strengths - listed on the package. So, I mixed a gallon at medium strength - in a pump up weed sprayer type thing. Covered the coils inside and out. It didn't do a lot of foaming until I started rinsing it off. Instructions say rinsing is not required, but I thought it would help flush some of the dirt and buildup. Can't really attest to how well it cleaned, and my unit wasn't terribly dirty, but it seemed to do a good job. And it did not hurt anything, as the AC unit still works just fine. Have enough left over for a couple of years of cleaning, which I think will keep my unit working at peak efficiency. That's a good thing, and when I run out, I will buy some more.

That's a fantastic job of cleaning the condenser.
I thought the product worked excellent. It was well worth buying the bigger container. It really works best to take off the outer shell of the condenser. I found that spring edit 45° angle downward works best . Sure to do both sides.
