We live in a one bedroom in NY, and our kitchen space isn't the biggest. So we really try to make use of the small counter space we have - and this product is perfect for just that - BUT you would just have to get into the habit of doing your dishes often rather than letting them pile up.In the pictures I provided you can see that I have a bowl, a small plate, a regular sized plate, 3 glasses and a few utensils. The area to dry your utensils is perfect, but when if comes to drying glasses, you might have to be a bit creative. The space is not meant to dry glasses / cups and I have to tilt them in a certain way to dry all 3 of them. Honestly, depending on how many dishes I'm washing at the time, its probably best to dry your glasses somewhere else, otherwise it can be a bit of a balancing act. Also, I don't mind drying most of my pots and pans over the stove, so that's just something to keep in mind as well.So overall, if space efficiency is your main concern for drying dishes, this is a great product as long as you wash and dry often. If not, consider getting a bigger apartment.

Great for a small amount of dishes to clean up quick. Leaves room in sink. Great!

Full-sized dinner plates will roll right out of this rack when you turn your back. Very unsafe.It will hold our "breakfast plates", which are slightly larger than a saucer, but only if you put them in backwards, facing the opposite direction from how you would naturally load them. If you load them facing the other way, they too will roll out and break.

As someone else mentioned in a review I read before I purchased this product, this dish rack thinks that it is much larger than it actually is. For anyone with limited counter space such as I have, it takes up very little space, yet I have put 3 pots, 2 dishes, a large colander, measuring cups, and a ton of silverware in it and still had room. As someone else noted, it does not handle glasses well (the only reason it did not rate 5 stars), but I have not found this to be a problem. The silverware rack was a bit discolored as another reviewer noted, however, it really is not a big deal. All in all, I would highly recommend this product, IF you do your dishes on a regular basis. If you are the type to let dirty dishes pile up in the sink, get a larger drainer.

Bought this rack with the hopes that it would fit in the small side of my asymmetrical sink. Well it does, but it IS pretty small. I can make it work by tilting the dishes half on the rack and half on the bottom of the sink/wall of sink. First started by using the metal base, as the rack slides about a bit on the bottom of my sink, but it quickly started to rust when water was sitting in it. Have thought about buying a rubber mat to place under it but so far the strainer is adequate without it. The silverware holder works well, although, occasionally it tips sideways if heavy utensils are placed in it- just need to counterbalance it with another piece of silverware.

If you do not use a dishwasher, it is nice to have a rack to air dry things. Using a towel or mat tends to slow drying down, and can cause dried dishes to smell.This is a nice little rack. It will hold a few items without an issue. The stainless steel is decently thick, and the rungs do not bend or deform much. Deep bowls do not fit on the rack well, but full sized plates are fine, and mugs can fit face down in the middle. It is small, and one standard mug or bowl will occupy 1/3 of the space. It can easily hold 6-8 large plates. The silverware compartment is divided in two, and each compartment will hold around 8-10 pieces of silverware with the handles facing down.I suggest placing a towel under this rack. I found some rust spots after several months of use under the tray, as well as on the countertop. It took a good bit of work with CLR to remove the stains. Partially drying items first will help a lot. I suspect the rust is due to minerals in hard water accumulating over time.

We recently upgraded to granite countertops and purchased a Kohler K-3838-7U Deerfield Cast Iron Smart Divide Sink  KOHLER K-5838-7U-0 Deerfield Smart Divide Undercounter Kitchen Sink, White  with double-equal 14"x16" basins (sold here on Amazon and elsewhere on the web). Incredibly, the sink grids that are sold by Kohler as accessories for this sink are not available in stainless steel -- only the cheesy white or almond plasticote!Fortunately, aftermarket manufacturer Interdesign produces nearly perfectly sized 11 x 12-3/4 stainless steel grids as Interdesign Models #72202 (without center hole)  Interdesign #72202 11x12 Stainless Steel Reg Sink Grid  and #72102 (with center hole)  Interdesign #72102 Stainless Steel Reg Sink Grid/Hole . Both are available here on Amazon.com and elsewhere on the web.This Polder dish rack fits perfectly when simply placed (after taking it out of its stainless steel tray) over either of those grids. We have it setting on top of the 72202 in the basin without the disposer, while the 72102 with the hole rests in the "business" basin.Once nested on top of the grid, the "package" looks as if it was designed together. While not a large as the old Rubbermaid integrated basket that we used to have in our old Kohler Executive Chef sink, this one looks much better and is quite functional so long as you don't try to overload it -- that's what the dishwasher is for!Very happy with the product -- even bought a spare.Highly recommended.

This was a replacement for a similar version that had for over ten years. It is about two inches longer than the one it is replacing, which is a good thing. I also like the fact that the silverware basket is divided into two sections. The one being replaced had three sections with a V shaped insert. My only complaint is that the product depicted in the website is not the one I received, hence the one star reduction, The website shows a mesh type silverware basket, the one I received is solid stainless with perforations. I can not say if one is better than the other, it just not the one pictured.

Excellent item. My previous rack was enormous and took most of drainer space so wanted a more compact item. Lots of plate room and cups can be hooked on sides with cutlery holder at one end. Personally I don’t use the under rack tray as awkward to drain and could scratch sink. This would have been better made from or coated with plastic orcat least having rubber feet. However for me the rack itself is perfect,

Not as large as one might think and like the description says it only hold up to 14 dishes so not so great if you have a large family and a lot of dishes or you're not storing your dishes somewhere else after drying. The upside to it being more compact is that it doesn't take up too much surface space. The slots work fine, but I've had some trouble with small dishes or bowls. Overall it's a great dish rack though, the utensil holder is really useful and it looks really nice .

tidy and smaler than the one i had previous gives me room on my sink side for larger items

Bought this for use in our camper, as is wonderfully tiny, and we avoid plastic wherever we possibly can. It is sturdily constructed, and sparse enough in its lines to be attractive, effective, and easily cleaned and dismantled between uses.

I've spent years trying to find a dish rack that's compact enough to fit our small draining board so I'm really chuffed to have found this neat and attractive product.
