Perfect fit for a Garmin Drivesmart 61!
Fits my Garmin Drivesmart 61 perfectly. Lightweight, the inside has soft padding, the exterior is a hard shell. I wouldn't try dropping it off a building, but it will keep it safe from bumps. It has a netted pocket on the inside and an elastic strap to keep your GPS, etc, in place. The pocket would be good for paperwork.

Little to no padding inside case!?!
Day 1: Haven't traveled with this case at all yet. On first opening it up & putting my Garmin DriveSmart 61 w/ 6.95 inch (19.65 cm) screen inside it, this fits only the GPS unit & charging cords. I wouldn't put any other thing in here, plan on putting your friction or other mounts out of site, when not in use. I noticed there is no padding between the cases exterior & the interior lining, because of this I've got the screen facing inward to prevent drop damage. Why did they build a case with no Padding, I ask? Maybe I'll put a piece of bubble wrap or furniture bumper pads for further protection / piece of mind. As the picture shows the mesh pocket is 3 inches (7.62 cm) in height, just over half the cases size. The wrist lanyard is nice.

Very Roomy for Garmin 7" GPS, Nice & Thin for Glove-Box
It is a fairly standard hard-shell zip-up case for anything that will fit. My new Garmin DriveSmart LMT-S (7 inch screen) is larger than my old one and its case, so I needed a new case. Personally, I prefer a thin case like this so it easily fits in my glove-box, or in a backpack without feeling bulky. I almost chose another one that was 2.5 inches thick that stored the power adapter and wasted some space, but I settled on this one because I think thinner and easier fitting is far more convenient. Honestly, I just throw the power adapter and dash mount in a Ziploc bag that I label with masking tape. The two are far easier to fit among my glove-box or backpack than one bulky item. I just want to protect the screen. There is room for a flat USB cable or something if you already have a USB adapter in your car for power. It does have a light to moderate chemical odor to the exterior hard shell. I'm pretty sensitive to smells so I notice, but for something I store in a glove-box or bag and use once in a while, it is just fine and I expect to dissipate. I just wouldn't want it on a watch band or shirt I wear and would constantly be in contact with. Funny thing, it smells exactly like another case that came with a camera I just got that looks to be of the same material. I suspect it is very common, and not specific to this manufacturer. It technically is larger than my actual device, and thus wastes a tiny bit of space. That is why I show in the picture it pushed to the lower corner to give perspective. But it is a generic case to fit many things, not my device, and it clearly states its interior dimensions, so nothing really to talk about.
