This is a very nice knife. I have a number of Laguiole knives which are mostly folders. This is the first kitchen knife I have bought with the Laguiole name .I was a bit skeptical that this would be a Chinese knockoff, given the price. It is not. The knife arrived razor sharp and is balanced very nicely . The handle is very comfortable to hold while using. I heartily recommend !

So this is the real deal Laguiole knife from the laguiole forge - did a lot of research on this because there are so many damn products and after having been in france the prices seemed very wrong on most ofbwhats in the market. The blade is beautiful and functional, I have bigger hands so this knife is a little small compared to my Wustoff chef knife - but the blade itself is so pristine and graceful it almost acts as a chef/filet knife combo. It has the signature bee set in the blade and also the shepherds cross in small detail in the handle. I have the olive wood handle. Cant rave enough about the knife and also all the story and richness this blade carries for me.

A gift for my boyfriend who is a French Chef!He loved it. Being French himself, he knows good quality and he said this knife meets all the right requirements for a chef's knife!
