Dyna-Lite Baja B4 Battery Powered 2-Monolight Kit with Case

I bought this package new and it was shipped from Adorama. I was under the impression that I was receiving everything I needed to use HSS with my canon 5D mark iii. In fact even the manual says that only Nikon cameras and crop sensor Canon cameras need a separate trigger to use with this product. I found out after failing to get it to HSS that I have to spend another $75 for a different trigger. I'm pretty disappointed simply because everything I read prior to purchasing was to the contrary.

I have this kit and use it for a variety of photography projects over the last year. I have used it during weddings, family sessions, senior sessions and product shoots. I have picked up several modifiers and find the beauty dish and narrow beam reflector to be some of my favorites (purchased separately). I also use a large softbox when needed to great effect. These lights are so mobile that I have literally had my my assistant in the middle of a lake with a light stand lighting a senior during sunset. I am a Sony shooter and have used them with the A99, the A7, and A7Rii. Color has been constant and even though they have a plastic housing they are robust. I had a strong gust of wind blow one over while wearing the 7in reflector included with this kit. Only the battery door popped off, nothing that a little gaff tape couldn't fix. The globe and flash tube were fine and I was able to finish up my shoot like it never happened. The power range is awesome and coming from speedlights, a huge upgrade. The strobe settings work well but I've yet to use them on a paying job. For my money, this is a great battery powered monolight kit. I look forward to many years of use.
