Don't want to repair that football sized hole in the wall after a night of watching the Dallas Cowboys disappoint yet again? Just add this and now you have an "Access Panel". Access to what you may ask? I used it to store my spackling compound and putty knife, as a remind me to fix that mistake I made, of believing in "America's Team"...Or, it makes for a nice access point to get to the shower diverter on the other side of the wall. Dealing with leaky plumbing is a better way to spend your day anyhow.

Lokking long and hard for something to work for my clean out access in my finished basement. These are working perfectly. Inconspicuously blened into wall but will make it great if and when we shoul need to access the clean out points.

Due to a water pressure regulator leak, I had to cut open a section of wall larger than the original 8 by 8 panel I had in the spot. So, I needed a panel longer with the same 8-inch width. This was the only panel I could find in an 8-inch width size that was longer. As far as panels go, this is a pretty standard hard plastic type panel. One thing I like about this particular panel is that it has a door style panel that opens on a hinge as opposed to the one I had before where you have to pull the cover off completely. The door panel can also be removed as well, if needed. The door is slightly more difficult than it should be to open though as there is no way to grab and pull it open on the door itself. It would have been nice if there was a small handle on the door to open.Other than having to cut the drywall to fit, that is about all there is to installation. Depending on your preference, you can use a glue or double-sided tape to hold the frame in place, if you cannot get the cut tight to fit. One thing I wish that this (and other panels) had would be a deeper inner frame so you could screw mount into a stud.Overall, this panel meets expectations and works for the purpose of providing a larger access to the inner working inside my basement wall.4 stars

Worked perfectly. I used them to give access to water valves in a drywall ceiling in basement.

I finished a basement bathroom with drywall ceiling and I needed access to a plumbing valve. This hatch worked perfectly.

The product is as described. However, if you are using for anything other than a vertical panel you will need fasteners. The product DOES NOT COME WITH ANY KIND OF FASTENERS to work with drywall.
