Not first reader books imo
These are nice stories but definitely not first reader books. They have so really tricky, uncodable words in them and my confident level 5 (Oxford tree) reader finds these too hard. I was wanted books she could read independently but these are not suitable.

The primary school teachers in our family says these are five star books for teaching young children phonics. 12 Sturdy books in series to keep grandkids ahead of the game at pre school . They like reading them so its a win win.

Books
My eldest grand child has really enjoyed using these splendid books . I hope his brothers benefit in the same way . As a teacher I have high respect for the Ysbirn books .

Great books
First Saw these books from a friend of mine and just loved it. Took one and read it to my 9months old baby and after seeing the excitement on her face, I just couldn't wait to get ours. So I was delighted to see it so cheap on Amazon. Although second hand the books were still in great conditione.although I feel that my child will have better use of these books when older. It was still a great value for money and highly recommended.

Great selection of stories
Funny stories with rhymes and great practice for phonics sounds. Also wonderful for a short goodnight read.
