Booms Fishing R1 Stainless Steel Fish Hook Remover Extractor, 11-1/2 inches

These were purchased to weed around inground cacti and succulents, where fingers will pick up spines or do damages. They do work, but perform better if the weeds or grass are allowed to get a bit larger so there's more to grip. The tip can do shallow digging to better reach roots. They won't remove a mature dandelion, but will get one a few weeks old. They also can be used for removing leaf debris from spiney plants, though I prefer aquarium tweezers with the bent ends for that job.

I have tried different brands over the years. These stainless steel hook outs are very nice. I expect them to hold up in salt water use

Waited 9 months to use this. Catch a small, 2 1/2-foot Bonet Head shark and it breaks taking the hook out. Pin and bottom jaw fell right in the water. Not happy.UPDATE: Boom reached out to me and sent me a new one. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I will change my rating if it holds up. Good support and customer service though.

I haven't used it but it appears well made for the money and should be stout enough to do the job. Good price if it performs as good as it looks.

Works as designed. Easy to remove hooks from fish that have swallowed.

Caught some fish this weekend and this product came in handy. Made taking the hook 🪝 out of the fish 🎣 mouth that much easier. TY

The product as far as it's construction is fair but the jaws do not meet well at all there is far too much play in the pivot points.For what I bought them for they will work just fine but for getting a hook out of a sharp toothed garfish or pike or a shark I would invest more to save my fingers.
