CrossCalais Refillable Ballpoint Pen Presented in a Luxury Gift Box - Medium Point, Black Ink, Polished Chrome

This pen surprised me. It writes just as good as a gel rollerball pen! The nib feels like it is almost floating on the paper! I have two other more expensive pens and this is my favorite! I also favor the medium nib over the fine nib.

If there is one thing that's a must for my wife, it is having a pen she can count on. It has to look classy, feel good in the hand, write easily with skips or smudges, and be built to last. The Cross Calais is all of those things. It comes packaged in a handsome box and can be engraved if you want to spend a little more, making it ideal for gift giving. It has a higher price point than some other more basic pens that write really well too, but it should last a lifetime and is actually quite a bit less than many high end writing instruments.The satin chrome finish feels good in the hand as does the wide barrel -- allowing for more effortless writing. The satin has a bit of tooth to it and diminishes the appearance of finger prints. The nib pops out with a twist and stays put until purposely retracted. Love this Cross-writing instrument, i love the solid feel and super happy with my purchase. I am a pen collector.

I mean, it's genuine Cross! I need a thicker pen than the standard size, these are perfect. And the barrel doesn't slip through my fingers when I'm writing (I press too hard). It also doesn't slowly retract when I'm writing (I push too hard).

I had one of these pens. Amazon offered me what they said was this pen, but that the packaging had damage. It was not remotely the same pen, the new one had a cap and was not ballpoint, it was gel. For somebody else that might be fine. But I was looking for a replacement. I am offended that Amazon thought I'd accept what they sent, which bears little resemblance to the Cross Calais.

My new favorite pen, This pen color is perfect. It writes so smooth it is not a fine point. It twists open and closes with easy. For the price its nice.

I lost one of these and had to replace it. Quality pen for very reasonable price. Easy to find refills.

I love this pen! I appreciate that it's a little thicker than most pens, and a good weight also - not too light.
