Collapsible Silicone Microwave Hot Air Popcorn Popper Bowl with Lid and Handles (Blue)

I'm going to be honest, I wasn't expecting a lot given the odd random bad review about it burning popcorn and not popping the kernels, but I was right to ignore the negatives.There is absolutely nothing wrong with this at all, it's so simple, no need for space taking, energy hungry popcorn machines when this does it perfectly and then folds up to put in the cupboard, it's genius.Initially I added some oil and salt to the first batch, put it in my 800W microwave for 2 minutes and it burnt everything, stank the kitchen out and set the smoke alarm off. Back to the drawing board I thought.The second batch, I just put the kernels in and some salt, this time I cooked it for 2 minutes again and it came out perfect, but there were quite a few kernels un-popped at the bottom so I redid them after finishing the first batch and they popped as well leaving only 4 or 5 kernels left.For my machine, I've found that 2 1/2 minutes, air popped is the best for near perfect popcorn with very little kernels left, but it will be a bit of trial and error depending on your microwaves efficiency and power. The kernels start popping around 40 seconds, then everything goes wild about 1 minute 20 in, then backs off between 2 minutes and 2 minutes 30.If you overdo it slightly, the popcorn comes out firmer and smaller as it obviously dehydrates more, any more than this burns it, and it stinks when that happens, so I'd err on the side of too little time as you can always put it back in for longer. The lid fits loosely inside the bowl, but it sucks itself into place when in use so doesn't move like I thought it might, even when it's being bombarded with bits of hot popping corn, it then rises up the bowl on its own as the popcorn pops, it's pretty clever.I haven't tried it with butter, but based on my experience with oil, just bear in mind that anything containing fat which you add to the kernels will decrease the cooking time, which I think the people complaining about it didn't take heed of. I don't really follow why there appear to be so many people who don't understand the concept of trial and error, if you don't do much cooking and rely on labels all of the time rather than using your common sense, eyes and ears, then you'll undoubtedly come unstuck.It definitely doesn't deserve a bad review just because you cook a bad batch, thats not the products fault, it's yours, just readjust the time or recipe and try again until you get it right. Patience here definitely pays off and once you've got the time down, you can make perfect popcorn every time without fail.The air-popped stuff is great for dieting as well, its very few calories and quite filling so forget your perception of sugar and oil saturated cinema popcorn, this stuff is cheap to buy, high in fibre, healthy and low calorie, you could even sweeten it up with Erythritol or Stevia if you wanted, I prefer mine salted though and a little salt goes a long way with this.Anyway, this is great, does exactly what it says it does and the fact thats its dishwasher proof and folds really small is just a bonus really, I'd definitely recommend it, I was pleasantly surprised and popcorn might be making a regular appearance in my house now, it's pretty morish!

This is the best thing I have ever bought on Amazon! I tried to do the same thing with a glass bowl before but it didn't work. Also, the bowl got really hot and it exploded to pieces. But this thing did the job absolutely fantastic. All the kernels popped and because it's silicone it doesn't get hot and you can carry it and eat your popcorn directly without using another bowl. Also the price is decent. Love it

Works ok, however always has plenty of unpopped kernels at the bottom. For samsung microwaves the best setting i have found to stop them from burning is 5mins and changing from 800w to 600w. But as the portion is always small im always wanting another batch as from the 1/4 cup a handful are always unpopped. I do also add some olive oil spray first at the bottom to help the salt stick.

Bought this because my air popper was acting up & I was tired of having popcorn spraying everywhere even when it was good. Read the reviews & took the plunge. Glad I did. You can also add a bit of sugar or salt along with the popcorn kernels, without any oil! and turn on the microwave. Pops brilliantly! Something I couldn’t do with my air-popper, or would burn on the stove if I didn’t add oil. Only complain i have is that the lid discolored real fast but doesn’t bug me too much! Also the fact that it’s straight from the microwave to the front of the tv without getting transferring to a bowl is amazing. Easy storage due to it being collapsible is a great bonus! Love this

This is a really good product. Easy to use and it stores very well. There are markings on the inside that indicate where to put the kernels, which is helpful.In 3 minutes you have perfectly popped popcorn, try not to overfill with kernels as it may not work as well.

Good for making popcorn that tastes buttery. Unfortunately it doesn't make very much of it (Maybe only about half the container) as if you add more /to the second fill line the popcorn just ends up burning. Takes longer than microwave popcorn bags and in order to make as much as the popcorn bag version you would likely need to make 2 or three batches by which point the popcorn is cold and a bit soggy (from the butter and excess steam). Silicone also retains the smell.

I was a bit skeptical about buying this from reading some of the bad reviews, but in the end figured it was worth a punt on the price as I'm trying very hard lately to eat healthier snacks than my usual chocolates and cakes.For me so far it works well. Through a bit of trial and error I've got the following method to produce good results:- Throw in 25 grams of raw kernels- Add your chosen seasonings (I just add salt and a little oil to help coat the popped kernels with the flavour) and give a good mix- Stick in microwave with the lid it comes with on full blast for 2 mins and 30 secs (my microwave is 1000 watts)- End result is about 90% of the kernels fully popped and perfectly cooked (none burned)I haven't tried bigger batches but I imagine the timings won't vary much there. Based on my results I'd highly recommend this.

This gadget is amazing. Perfect pop everytime and collapses flat for smart storage. You don’t even need oil - super healthy. It’s a warm comfy bowl to curl up with and enjoy your popcorn too. Even dishwasher safe. Goodbye loud and awkward hot air popper that is a big item to store when not using. This thing is genius. I’ve recommended it to many friends and everyone is super happy.

It pops well and the popcorn taste good. The kernels might be smaller than they would be but I can't tell. It stores small due to its ability to collapse and it cleans easy. Love it. My wife used it and it seems like she burned some of the popcorn. I suppose it takes time to get the timing down with your microwave, but it tasted good anyway. We are on Weight Watchers and she has lost 60 pounds. This is a really good way to have popcorn but to your health specifications.

Si os gusta hacer palomitas es muy práctico, al ser plegable se guarda en cualquier sitio. Las palomitas se hacen en 3 minutos en el microondas y la cantidad que tu quieras. Cunde mucho el maiz, con un 1/4 de taza sale el bol entero de palomitas. Es una forma muy económica y sana de hacer palomitas

Habe 2 davon bestellt für 2 Haushalte. Es handelt sich um eine Silikonschüsdel mit Deckel deutlich größer als erwartet. Es gibt eine Anleitung auf der Verpackung für salzigen Popcorn, aber mit Zucker funktioniert es auch wunderbar. Funktioniert wunderbar in der Milrowelle und schmeckt deutlich besser als das fertige Mikrowellenpopcorn aus den Tüten. In2-3 Minuten fertig. Leicht zu reinigen und braucht kaum Stauraum, da es klappbar ist.
