The image on the box shows the option of punching vertical but that would require adjusting the space between holes. Is there no option for vertical?

Hello, the punching holes are fixed so it was not able to adjust. Unless your vertical side is long enough for punching. We are sorry that the picture looks like vertical. We will revise it in the coming production.

Size of hole not spacing but actual hole size no one can answer the question why is that I am only interested in the size of the hole

Can this punch holes for a 3 inch binder?

If the 3 inch distance is referring to the distance between holes then the answer is... The holes are a standard 4.3 inches apart. To my knowledge this distance is not adjustable. If the 3 inch distance to which you are referring is the DIAMETER of the rings then the standard distance of 4.3 inches between holes will be just fine.
