OXOGood Grips Stainless Steel Ice Cream Scoop, One Size

This scoop is extremely sturdy and easy to use. The scoop end is solid brushed steel and not plated which I like as it won't flake off or tarnish. Works very well and is much better than our previous one.

One of the more expensive scoops but is stainless rather than coated alloy and works well even on fairly solid sorbet. Seems a solid piece of metal with a rubberised handle rather than a handle stuck to a metal end so it would seem unlikly that it will break at the neck like some.

A well made ice cream scoop. Comfortable to hold and scoops out a nice amount of icecream with ease.

I love ice cream. I once had a 60 litre tub of Baskin Robbins ice cream (it's a long story) in a deep freeze in Moscow that I scooped out over several months. I had to take all the shelves out of the freezer to fit it in.The point? that big tub broke my old scoop. Since then I've had several. Most are too flimsy to deal with hard-frozen quality ice-cream with a high cream content. Many dig into your fingers with sharp metal edges when you're struggling to get the ice cream out.Not this beauty. I've used it for several weeks, including on some hard-frozen Haagen Dazs, and it cuts through that ice cream effortlessly. The handle is, as advertised, a "good grip". It's good enough to encourage me to buy more ice cream!The only slight downside is that the finely-sculpted narrow ridges on some parts of the rubber handle, designed to make it more comfortable to hold, are in fact so fine they are hard to clean. It would be better without them. Otherwise, though, the perfect ice-cream scoop.

Great- nice shape for scooping ice cream and as it’s stainless steel, goes in the dishwasher without the finish coming off. No moving parts, so it should last.
