AlmayThe Complete Look Makeup Palette, Medium/Deep

This make up kit is so practical with it's lovely eye shadows, lip colours and blush. A terrific compact to take along on holiday that has all you really need to make yourself pretty.

I am a huge fan of Almay products and have used them for years. I was excited to try this palette, the colors looked very enticing and I like the concept of all products in one container. The make up is the usual Almay quality - no issues. The lip products are more of a gloss than a lipstick. The day eye shadow is a matte.I would suggest a different type of packaging. It is impossible to get the colors out without them spreading to the other colors. The eye shadow wound up in the blush (and then on my cheek) and the blush wound up in the lip gloss despite my best efforts to keep them separated and clean.Additionally the mirror is too small and the applicators are laughable - I tossed those.If you are looking for a daily make up product this may not be the one for you. If you are looking for something to toss in your purse for touch ups during the day or night I would definitely suggest it!

I'm a former redhead and usually the palest person I know. I fondly refer to my skin as "fishbelly white." Am I painting a picture for you? I've used the same bonne bell eyeshadow for the past 20 years because I'm crazy pale, so "real" makeup often looks overly dramatic on me.Still, this barely shows. The blush is worthless. The eyeshadow is barely there. I don't like the lipsticks as lipstick, but those at least make a decent blush. So I'm using it, and it's not a total loss, but I wouldn't purchase it again. And I certainly wouldn't recommend it for those with skin darker than mine - which is nearly everyone!

I picked this up because I thought it would be awesome to have a versatile palette that I could take on travel or keep in my purse that would give me eyeshadows, blushes, and lip products. Such a great idea but not as great in execution. The blush colors are lovely but the pans are so small it's hard to get the right amount of product. The lip glosses are nice too, and the shades are good. But the eyeshadows are a real disappointment. I didn't feel like most of the shades had good color pay off, and when I tried to blend shades they just got muddy. I wish the pans had been laid out a bit differently and the eyeshadow formulas were a little better. Not the worst products I've tried but nowhere near the best either.

I purchased this palette for cruises and other short trips and absolutely love it. I did buy a separate lipstick brush and already had travel makeup brushes, which I definitely prefer over the tiny included applicators. I am also extremely pale-skinned, so the medium set might not show up as well if you are at all tanned or darker complected. But for me, it was perfect and a really good value. I love just popping this one compact into my travel bag and having everything I need to put on my face!
