Can we use these on the short box ? Or are these only for the plastic bin style box ??

They are designed to fit the 'plastic bin style box'. Not sure what you are referring to with the 'short box'. It doesn't matter the length of the bin, short or long, they will fit the BCW comic book bins.

Do i need to use the dividers in addition to the partitions so my comics stand up straight and dont bend? i bought the bcw bin for them. thank you:)

I had enough comics to fill the bin exactly (150 in bags with white back boards will stand up snug) but I had already purchased these and didn’t need any. If you have less than that then I would buy, keep in mind the bin includes one. I will add that you are limited in placement, the bin has slots for dividers to slide in (only 4 slots though) and they are evenly spaced within the bin. I wanted more slots for dividers in case you wanted to adjust the number your standing up but I figure you could fit about 25-29 comics in between dividers slots within the bin. Dividers are about the thickness of a comic also.
